Would you trade Eric Gordon for Dion Waiters and Tyler Zeller?

    Why or why not?

Sure I would. But the Cavs wouldn't.

No, I don't think it's enough. I like Waiters alot, but he's not what this teams needs right now. I'm hopin for a trade as soon as possible, but he's much more likely to be moved over the summer as long as he can get healthy and stay there. His trade value is at an all time low, but it only takes one bad GM decision to take him off our hands. If he could land is a solid starter, a young stud full of potential and a draft pick, I'd be happy.

I don't understand bringing up a trade that doesn't work cap wise

I like where your head is at (pause). Maybe EG + Lopez + maybe one our 2nd rders for Waiters and Zeller. That said, I have no problem holding on to him

    Because that's just a formality.

The deal is essentially Gordon for Waiters and Zeller.

You'd have to include Luke Walton to make it work this year. And if you wait until this offseason, you don't have to include anybody else from Cleveland's side.

So, basically, who gives a **** about the throw-ins?

Actually I just got annoyed because I knew it'd have to be Walton to make it work, and forgot that he is an expiring this year. Didn't think it'd be worth it to have to have Walton eating space for two year. It's a moot point

I wouldn't personally, that would leave us with more rookies and less veterans.

gordon for waiters and zeller? not to mention the extra room? In a heart beat.

    Vasquez
    Waiters
    Aminu
    Davis
    Zeller

Anderson, Rivers, Lopez, Smith.. and probably a top 5 pick, and about 20 million in cap room???

Oh but the Cavs would never do it.

  11. #11
does zeller have that much more upside than Lopez? Is zeller a starter? I don't think so.

Is this for real? You guys act like Gordon is complete trash. Do you all watch games or just go on 2k and compare player ratings? And what good is cap room when nobody wants to sign with your team? Waiters and Zeller? C'mon man

This would be a poor trade IMO.

Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams

Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston

You're guilty of overvaluing your favorite teams players. It happens to a lot of fans. Don't worry about it

Dion Waiters was a top-5 pick for a reason. I know he doesn't get on TNT or ESPN a lot, but be sure and watch Wednesdays game then come back to this thread.

Actually not that big of a Gordon fan, but I know that this trade is pretty awful just like 999 of the other 1000 trades that have been posted. Austin Rivers was a top 10, Aminu was also so stop getting caught up in draft positions and trade hype. Like I said before, be patient with Gordon and stop adding so much value to others teams players while ignoring the value of your own

Waiters was this past drafts "this guy can be the next Dwayne Wade." Much the same way MCW is said to be this years "this guy can be the next Dwayne Wade."
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

And like Beal is the next Ray Allen. SMH

"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

    Another trade Eric Gordon thread:

Part of why Dion is playing well right now is cause he is playing against a backcourts nightmare in Kyrie Irving. Take away Kyrie and how good does he play then?

Sorry, but you act like Waiters is absolutely destroying it this year. He's shooting .396 from the field and .306 from 3 point range. Not to mention he was sent to the bench so CJ Miles could start ahead of him. Unless Cleveland includes their first I'm not interested, and like I said above I like Waiters. Someone posted his advanced stats about a month or so ago, and they weren't much better than Rivers' were at that point. People keep forgetting about Rivers, who is the same exact player as Waiters (a 6th man combo guard).

Hm. He's assisted on 42% of his baskets, 70% of which are jumpers. Haven't found anything on his iso scoring.

    So...I don't know.

Not acting that way at all.

Waiters is not a great shooter - probably never will be.

There's no doubt when comparing ceilings that Gordon's is far greater than Waiters. He's more athletic and a better shooter.

But, Waiters is a guy who can get his own shot and create for others. Qualities needed to win in the playoffs especially down the stretch.

82games has him at 49% on jumpshots? Am I reading that wrong?

He's assisted on 49% of those jumpers is what that means.

    Oops. Definitely read that wrong.

    I see it now.

Give me Paul George and you can have Gordon and a consolation prize.
