What would it take for Davis to steal the ROY?

I think the majority of people believe that unless something crazy happens, Lillard will run away with the ROY award. I'm wondering what will it take these last few months for AD to come steal it from Lillard. If he started playing better defensively, which would means more minutes, and could boost his rebounding average up above 10 a game, would you guys think that would be enough? Averaging a double-double along with a couple blocks and an assist per game.

An injury to Lilard or much better performance. But honestly, who cares? Davis is still the better player.

    Bold part probably ain't happening.

Their minds are made up. Lillard would have to miss the rest of the season and Anthony would probably have to avg a double double before they'd even consider giving it to him.

Lilliard is the more polished player right now (which he pretty much should be seeing as he's 3 years older and went to college for 4 years) but I think Davis will eventually be the better player.

Yeah, which is why if there was a redraft at this point, I'm sure all teams would still take Davis over Lilard.

Davis would have to average 20 and 10 or so going forward. Maybe get some kind of streak of some sort rolling.

up his rebounding avg to 10?? there is less than 30 games to go..he would have to avg 14-15 rebounds for that to happen lol

    davis has no chance..none

Who cares? Any hornets fan who would want to see a Hornet win the award. Don't know why that is such a crazy thing to want.

who cares about lillard ...rivers will turn out to be the better player in the long run anyways

Davis is already the better player.

ROY is based on points. A Lillard injury is Davis' best chance.

I didn't mean his season average. I mean from the next game onwards.

Lillard injury, which is possible. The dude has logged in more minutes than anyone else this year, as a rookie.

But it'll also take Davis to step up his scoring. Not like anything else matters in this stupid award.

davis wont win it but it doesnt matter, davis is 19, lillard is 22, lillard will always be a combo guard, davis is gonna change the game, if u called portland and asked if they wanted to trade they would do it in a heart beat.

Five 40 point games. And a triple double.

A quadruple double wouldn't hurt either

Curing all the world's diseases while he's catching an alley opp might clinch it.

No chance barring a Lillard injury... ROY doesn't matter

Would you rather Okafor over Howard?

This. Same thing okafor was much older than Dwight but Dwight had way more potential and look what happened.

Our main priority right now is finding a small forward, I think in a couple years Davis will prob grow an inch and add about 20 pounds being 7ft 240lbs I'm still dreaming of a roster that looks like this.

    Gv/rivers
    Gordon/Gerald Henderson
    Shabazz/miller
    Ryno/smith
    Davis/Lopez

Such a great young talented roster with plenty of cap space for a stud

What does this dream roster have to do with Davis stealing ROY?

I agree 100%. Except none of my dream rosters contain Eric Gordon.

Nothing, I was replying to him stating what would u rather have the Roy of someone w more potential like Dwight and okafor. So then after talking about davis potential and room to grow and that he could become a center. Is there a reason why u ask?

I understand your reply of Dwight vs. Okafor because that's what the thread is about.. ROY. But I was wondering what the dream roster had to do with Davis stealing the ROY.

Why didn't you include the stud? If it was your dream roster include everything/one. DOn't sell us out short!!
