53 games in.... which Hornets player(s).....

We've reached the halfway point of the Hornets' 2012-13 regular season. Who is your team MVP so far and why?

Which Hornets player has been the most unsung contributor? Who has helped the team most, but in ways unnoticed by many fans/media?
Just saw these questions asked on Jim Eichenhofer's twitter and was curious to see what fans here had to say.

I would have to say Vasquez is the MVP thus far.
Anderson went through a fairly long slump. He started the season looking like he'd be our MVP.
Gordon doesn't play enough to be the MVP of anything.
Davis would probably be the MVP if Monty gave him enough mins.

I think Vasquez has been the team MVP so far. He's had a season that I don't think anyone thought he'd have at this point.

Unsung contributor would be Jason Smith for me. He's the enforcer, something has to be really bad to hold him out of a game and he's the best pick and pop player on the team. No one outside talks about him.

The General and it ain't even close.

Unsung I think it's Smith, but honorable mention goes to Roger Mason.

I'd go with Lopez as the guy who help the most but gets the least amount of press.

GV is hands down the MVP. Has been arguably the best player (Ryno is other option). And is by far the biggest leader we have.

Even though Ryan helps the team a lot, I didn't mention him as unsung because he does get media mention. They mention him everytime they think he should go to the Lakers.

    Here's another one...

Based on opponent, circumstances, final score, other factors, etc., what do you consider the best Hornets win of the season so far?
I know we haven't had many of them but what do you consider the best Hornets win of the season? Winning the Texas trio? Beating the Clippers? Blowing out the Blazers?

If this is the Clippers game, yes. Without Gordon and AD.

Also loved the 2nd game of the year vs the Jazz. Such a close, hard fought game!

    MVP- Hakeem Warrick.

Same as everyone else, the General and Enforcer.

Statistically, Anderson is the MVP. He's been the best throughout the season.

Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams

Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston

Vasquez and Lopez. I'm kind of shocked at how good Lopez has been playing

Vasquez, and Aminu's rebounds have been consistent, gotta give credit when it's due

I think the most under appreciated has to go to Lance Thomas. Guy is a scrub on offense but damn he plays defense the way its sposed to be done. I really wish everyone on the team bought that kinda skill/intensity/pressure on D every night.

Lopez is way better than expected

Vasquez has been a hero at times and villain at other times.

Ryno is my MVP so far, personally.

I love the development of Aminu, Rivers, and Davis.

Vasquez because of his play and mostly because of his attitude. Remember his interview after the spurs win.
