Thread: Broussard: Hornets Gauging Interest in Gordon {merged all of Gordon rumors}

Why would GState trade klay or barnes for gordon?????

I also think houston trade doesn't make sense for houston. Weird

    GV/Rivers
    McLemore/Mason
    Barnes/Budinger/Aminu
    davis/ryno
    pek/lopez

If ur gonna tell me this won't be a top 5 team in 4 years ur on crack... omg if this happens I will literally get Dell Demps tattooed on my @$$
Nobody is arguing that a Barnes/1st for Gordon trade would be bad for the Hornets. Again, the argument is that Gordon's value is not that high.

Think about it this way: if the return is so incredible for the Hornets that it would make us a top 5 team in the next 4 years, and all we have to give up is our underperforming, injury-riddled malcontent, why would the Warriors do it?

Yeah, PLUS what's GSW's cap look like? They'd be taking on $7-10mil in salary right?

Talk about an all-glassjaw team of Curry, Gordon, and Bogut

I could without a doubt see the Warriors moving barnes now that I think about it

Curry is playing like an animal, scoring and distributing
klay is doing what he does, being a sharpshooter and great rebounder
david lee is just a freak avg 20-10
Bogut is back healthy and looks to be on a roll
they have a great bench in jack and landry
their only hole is barnes, not that he's a hole its just their weak spot is the 3, not that barnes wont be a great 3, he will, but just not yet and they are in win now mode, and with klay's size and rebounding he would play the 3.
I bet they think with a lineup of
    Curry
    Gordon
    Klay
    Lee
    Bogut
they have a serious chance at a title

Just give us Barnes and ur 1st already!!!!! Thanks!

This trade is a win for both teams, a healthy curry, klay, gordon, lee and bogut could be the best starting 5 in the league

we have to loose every game and get lucky again to get mclemore. kid does have a great stroke.

To make salaries work, we'd have to take back Biedrins or some other really big salary piece. Might make the first worth it?

Currently we are in 6th place in the league, if we lose gordon we will lose many more games, plus cleveland had the 4th worst record 2 years ago and lucked out and got kyrie, maybe we could get lucky again, if not package our 1st and warriors 1st for mclemore and if it cant be done do it for shabazz.

Ben Gordon (13.2 million expiring next year when multiple teams will be worried about luxury tax penalties) and the rights to Detroits 1st or Charlotte's 1st (whichever is higher in this year's draft) for Eric Gordon. He value might be this bad as of now

    But Ryno = K-Love lite?

If Dell pulls off any of these trades for Gordon we will have to gather money for bail, because there will be warrants out for his arrest in Houston or Oakland. lol

so their only problem is the 3 so they trade their 7th overall SF pick after his rookie season, not a bad season at all, for an injury prone sg gordon on a max contract with no indication that he is even currently healthy even though they have that position locked up with klay, and they throw in their first rounder? In no way is this a win for both teams
    never assume

I'd do it. The UNC fan in my just got a little giddy.

Imagine getting Barnes with that, then:

Wait... where are the GS picks this year? I'm not finding any first rounders.
    Wherehappens.

Oh Thank God it's gone... I relapsed and resumed the thumb-in-mouth fetal position momentarily

Yes, theyre entire team is full of injury riddled players which they seem willing to gamble on with curry and bogut signing 1 long term and trading for the other. There only chance for a title will be soon while they are healthy and while they would love to wait for banres to become the player he could be they are ready now, its a good trade for both teams

gotcha, and I can see that being more valuable to GSW if gordon was healthy.

But from our side, I would need more than barnes because that leaves a big hole at the 2 spot rotation.

I'm a little different than most when it comes to the SF position. I think when AD gets stronger and more mature about the game, his minutes go way up and Anderson plays more SF. Aminu is doing better lately and is still very young.

Kevin Love + Anthony Davis seems like a scary duo.

exactly, thats why i said barnes and a 1st, then package our first with theirs and move up to take mclemore or shabazz and have a starting 5 that looks something like this

    gv
    mclemore or shabazz
    barnes
    davis
    pekovic
