Broussard: Hornets Gauging Interest in Gordon

Can someone paraphrase since I don't pay for insider

"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

Basically teams have called and the Hornets have listened but there is less than a 10% chance he gets moved.

Broussard says we've gauged interest in Gordon. Making calls and that we've had conversations with Houston, Golden State and Dallas. He said Houston invisions Harden at the 3, with a three guard set of Lin-Gordon-Harden. That would lead me to speculate that Parsons was involved in the trade discussions. Doesn't mention what was talked about with Golden State or Dallas.

Said that theres less than a 10 percent chance we move him though, which is what sticks out to me the most.

He wanted and used the 10 percent to cover his bases in case Gordon gets traded before the deadline.

How do the Hornets get better with what they can get from those teams? I can see Golden State but if Houston plans on keeping Harden and lin then Dell would be dumb to even listen to them. I am honestly looking forward to the trade deadline like it's my bday.

He's gotta listen though. You never know when you may need that team to dance with in the future.

Could be a 3 team deal where they send Parsons to us, young big(s) to team 3, and we get young guard(s) from team 3.

Article made it sound like with Dallas and Houston, Gordon would be plan B if they strike out in FA. That would probably be the max value situation--pouncing on a desperate team.

Please lord if you can land us one of these trades I will be forever greatful!

    Parsons + Montejunas + Rocket's 1st for Gordon
    Klay Thompson + Warrior's 1st for Gordon
    Barnes + Warrior's 1st for Gordon

parsons dropped 21-8-9 tuesday vs the warriors, only problem is that he is already 25 but would be in his prime in 2 years which is a plus. Would love to get him then package our first and rockets first to get mclemore or shabazz

klay thompson is a freak, 22 years old, 6"7, sharpshooting ace, averaging 16.5-4.5-2.5 as a SG, package our 1st and rocket's first and move up to get shabazz or stay put and take otto porter

Harrison Barnes having a nice rookie year averaging 9 points and 4.5 rebs, shooting a great 37% from 3, looks to be an incredible athlete and potential to be a lock down defender, would love to get him, package our 1st and rockets 1st, move up to get mclemore or shabazz

If we are in talk with the warriors it would have to be for either klay or barnes, if we could get 1 of them and their 1st round pick i wouldn't even close to hesitate, ya gordon is great but he is injury prone, we would save so much money moving gordon, get a great young SG in klay and have salary to sign pekovic and package our 1st and their 1st for mclemore or shabazz, for the love of God pull the trigger DELL!!!!!!

Hmmm...deal with Rockets for Parsons, Asik & Raptors first round pick would be tempting...could add a piece or two to make it work (Jason Smith?). So you wind the season up with...

    Vasquez/Roberts PG
    Rivers/Mason SG
    Parsons/Aminu/Henry/Miller SF
    Davis/Anderson/Thomas PF
    Lopez/Asik C

Probably struggle a little with new line up, slot in for top-six pick and grab a guard or wing like McLemore, Shabazz, Bennett or Porter in the draft.

I think some of you overvalue Gordon at this moment. Seems a bit optimistic to me.

I think OKC has the Toronto pick from the Harden trade.

I think Asik is probably off limits.

If we put Gordon off the books... Oh man, the cap space. Makes my lower half tingle.

well who do u think the rockets are offering us? jeremy lin? come now on, if we could get parsons and a 1st or klay thompson or harrison barnes and a 1st that would be incredible for the hornets.

You're right. It would. I think the argument is that would be too incredible for the Hornets. Gordon probably isn't worth that much.

I would be willing to bet they would give up Barnes and a 1st for Gordon, their 1st will be a late first since they are doing so well and the temptation to have 2 elite combo guards in curry and gordon would be too tempting for them to pass on, then if some how we lucked out and could get the #1 draft pick, be it by luck like the cavs did twice or us trading for it and draft mclemore and sign pekovic and budinger from all the saved cap from gordon, good lord!

    GV/Rivers
    McLemore/Mason
    Barnes/Budinger/Aminu
    davis/ryno
    pek/lopez

If ur gonna tell me this won't be a top 5 team in 4 years ur on crack... omg if this happens I will literally get Dell Demps tattooed on my @$$

Dude u and me both, I mean the trade would HAVE to be centered around one of them wouldn't it? what are they offering Bogut for Gordon? Cmon now, gimme barnes or klay with their 1st rounder and Dell has pulled off another miracle trade!
