The stronger the muscles around the joints the harder it is to injure said joints.
"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

Oh I agree. But I do think these guys do need to realize they can somewhat shield it by working on it.

An MRI on Kentucky Wildcats forward Nerlens Noel revealed he tore the ACL in his left knee and will miss the remainder of the season.
Next year's draft just got even better. Nerlens would have been a top 3 pick in this draft. I'm not so sure he will be in next year's draft.
Well our first rounder this year just got a bit more worthless.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.
With next years class being so strong I could still see Noel opting in for this years draft. We'll just have to wait and see.
Yeah, he still looks like a top 3-5 pick in this year's draft based on what Chad Ford said. This draft is incredibly weak at the top, so it doesn't surprise me. I think he leaves if people are telling him he's a lock for the top 5. Hard to turn down that guaranteed money when he won't know if he'll get that same shot in 2014.
I was not happy he got hurt, but I did think that he could fall,in the draft to the Hornets. That is assuming the Hornets don't start losing more. I hope he comes out this year, so he does not risk getting hurt again.
He'll get drafted like Blake Griffen, and won't play until his Second year in the league.
Noel out for season with torn ACL. He shouldn't enter the draft.
Well this sucks, with Noel in the draft we had a much better chance of shabazz falling to us... GREAT!
I really hope that Noel is recovers quickly and has a solid NBA career.....although, if he comes out this year, I would prefer to see him go somewhere else....
"we might make dollars, but we don't necessarily make sense"
"always be sincere....whether you mean it or not"
In ESPN rankings he went from the #1 prospect to the #3 prospect. He will come out.
Not sure why the thought is he goes back to school. If he stays, and his knee is so shot he's not nearly the springy athlete he was he could plummet the same way Jared Sullinger did right out of the lottery and get significantly less money. He leaves for the pros and someone takes a chance, eh gets guaranteed paper and even if he fizzles out, he's at least financially secure for a time.
I think it could go either way.
He'll be fine long-term. Still young and alot of time.
Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams
Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston
I didn't watch the game, but looking at that pic makes my stomach turn. It would be very, very smart if Nerlens stays another year and polishes his game. His offense is abysmal. At least AD had an offensive game which made it easy for him to make the jump.
