Thread: Hornets listening to offers for Eric Gordon {merged}

I wish the Pacers would trade us George for Gordon. A big healthy sf/sg who is on the verge of stardom for an impish injured sg, who doesn't know if he is coming or going.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

of cause Teams listen to offers, and of course everything can happen
and I understand Eric, after the Clippers traded him with out telling him

I think people don't should even think about Paul George, they wont trade him, why should they

It's the simplistic "Durr. Gordon is from Indiana. Granger is from New Orleans" mindset.

Let's get Thaddeus Young, DJ Augustin, resurrect Clyde Drexler, and Greg Monroe.

...actually, getting Greg Monroe ain't a bad idea. Though we're more likely to resurrect Drexler first.

I don't think George or MKG are going to be available but can't hurt to dream. If I'm dreaming I want Wiggins in the following draft.

Granger would have to be for a lot less than Gordon. If the pacers are trying to cut salary next year we can absorb his contract for a nominal fee say a late first.

Find a way to trade Xavier Henry(expiring contract) to Indy for Gerald Green, who brings energy! Needs coaching on defense but has a lot of potential offensively with 3pt range and slashing.
    He's a triple-threat player!

The rumor mills today say the 76er's are shopping Evan Turner, a young developing SG. Wonder what kind of Gordon for Turner deal could be crafted up. Of to the trade mackina!

At this point, I think any trade involving Gordon would be mostly to get out from under his contract. I would imagine his value to be fairly low at this point since he is still rounding in to shape and has yet to play in any back-to-back's, though it only takes one GM to think he is the missing piece.
Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else.

I wouldn't do any deal that involves Turner for Gordon.

This trade works out well for both teams: http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=abnv8g8

    Gordon+Henry for Turner+Richardson

Turner could be a better fit here with this young core and he's still on his rookie contract for 2 years. We swap Henry's small expiring contract for Jason Richardson's 5.8 mill one for 3 years, the price we pay for 76er's taking on Gordon's max deal with his injury concerns. 76er's solidify a stellar backcourt combo with this trade while still primed to offer Bynum a big contract if they think he's healthy enough.

Turner is young, developing and a solid all around player. He's also got the size you'd like to see at the 2 guard position and he can play the 3 as well. Was surprised to see his 3point% is 40% this season. Meanwhile J-Richardson is a solid vet who can provide outside shooting and veteran guidance for the young squad. Bada-boom.

    Lopez/ Smith
    Davis/ Anderson
    Aminu/ Richardson
    Turner/ Mason
    Vasquez/ Rivers

A solid young core to build into the future with and will still compete now. Draft well and play the cards right in free agency, the future would be bright.

Why is that? He seems pretty solid and is still young.

Ask 6ers fans how much of a disappointment he has been and you'll get your answer. Turner isn't an impact player.

Evan Turner is having a great year and could be in the talk for MIP but we all know who's gonna win that.

Edit: averaging about 14 7 assist 5 rebs. And brought his pt % up a lot.u

Shooting a lower percentage, playing more minutes, and making little impact. Why trade Gordon for this guy? This guy is older than Gordon by a couple of months.

Just like you and many on here who just can't seem to appreciate their own players.

Turner can be a great addition to our core ! He's a young point forward and has really improved his numbers this year. I thought they won't shop him, but they are... I hope will get him but not in a trade involving EG of course!

Oh FFS. I have no problem with Gravy. But what, we're just one player away now? We need more. More time, yes. But the talent base isn't complete. And no one, save Davis, is untouchable. Should explore every conceivable option.

Turner just isn't that good. Offensively, he hurts a team alot more than help. Total shooting is abysmal. Can't create his own shot consistently. He's really an average player at best and doesn't seem to be improving that much.

Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams

Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston

If Turner is that bad, we should get him without giving up too much value. Give him a shot, he is still young!
His stats have improved from last season !
