Shaq has ALOT more scorers. What was Chuck thinking?! I cannot wait to see Rubio to Davis!

How did Chuck let Shaq pick Lillard & Irving. LOL. Come on Chuck. But the lobs from Rubio to AD and Faried....maaaaaannnnnnnn....

I see what Chuck was doing with his team tho...if you look at it Chuck got the better all around players. There will be ball movement, defense and scoring from the perimeter. Shaq went for all the athletic guys. It might not look like it on paper because of the names but I think Chuck picked a better team.

In a real game, I'd agree but in an all-star game, the best offensive players usually shine the most. Chuck went with a defensive team but unless they are going to play hard, I expect a rout by Shaq's team because he has alot of players who can create their own shots.

Lol if Shaqs team hits shots they'll win. Simple as that.

I don't see Chuck's team scoring 130-150 points in this game. Not enough scorers on the team. Their only hope is to keep Shaq's team under 120.

Shaq got to pick first. He picked Lillard. Chuck then picked Davis. Shaq picked Irving as his 2nd pick.

The selection process is flawed. Their selection order should be reversed after every round.

The only players I can possibly see out scoring him (on his team) are Faried and Beal. I really expect him to score atleast 25+ and get 15+ rebounds. He's really gonna stand out in this game. AD, Rubio, Faried, Irving, and Drummond are gonna be the standout players. Still can't believe Lilliard was chosen over Irving.

Also, can't wait for him to have a huge block on Lilliard to show who's the man.

Because Davis is Davis, he might actually have to work a little to score. I can see people actively trying to play some defense on him in this game. So dropping 25 points or more? Be interesting if he pulls it off.

If Irving or Lilliard were the starting PG for Chuck's team I wouldn't expect 25 or more from Davis, but with Rubio I do.

We will finally see what a true PG would do for Davis and the Hornets. More reason to draft Burke. lol

New Orleans Hornets have varied All-Star weekend plans

For the chosen few, it's an opportunity to be around the game's greatest.

For others, this weekend's NBA All-Star break provides an opportunity for a respite from the mental and physical grind of a long year, to regenerate and prepare for a closing push toward either the postseason or the offseason.

While Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki has expressed his leisurely plans – "sitting on a beach drinking red wine," is what the former league MVP has planned – Hornets players, as well as Coach Monty Williams, don't have anything as idyllic planned for the next few days.

Williams' parting words for his team following Wednesday night's 99-63 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers were simple and direct.

"I just told them to take a couple of days off and get ready for Monday's practice when we'll go for a couple of hours," Williams said. "That's going to be our next focus. I told them to relax, and take time off.

He's talking to you, Austin Rivers.

I would have to imagine the thinking regarding Lillard (and Davis) over Irving was that Irving will probably be very limited in this game since he'll be also playing in the "real" All-Star game.

It depends on how much they plan to play him as to whether I agree or not. If they've been told to just let him make a token appearance for 10 minutes or so then I agree. But if he can play more than 15-20 minutes then I'd want him on my team regardless as he's the best player in that pool.

Shved is one of my favorite players in the league... Undrafted. We definitely missed out, I think having him off the bench is exactly what this team will need going forward, with a bench unit of Rivers/Shved/Miller/Anderson/Smith it would be one of the best ball-movement benches in the league.

Pretty underwhelming performance by Davis. Was really expecting to see him stand out. It's a shame Rivers wasn't invited, IMO he could have done some damage out there.
