I know he isn't a true pg but he is best w the ball in his hands so what's the difference of letting him take it down the court then calling an iso for him or having someone pass him the ball then call an iso? He is best in pick and roll situations, rose and westbrook aren't true pg or SGs, they are combo guards just like gordon, great in iso 1 on 1 and better w the ball in their hands

Gordon is the best passer on our team. He can certainly run the point if he works on his handles a little more. Vasquez gets all his assists because the ball is always in his hands. If Gordon had the ball as much as Vasquez did, he'd have near the same amount of assists and double the points. If a guy like McLemore slips to us, you take him no matter what, and you make it worst. Never draft for need at the top of an NBA draft.

I don't like EG as PG, either, for the record. Also nolaism213 for some reason the pic in ur sig looks like AD is tryna give birth with LeBron and Durant encouraging him and CP3 waiting to catch it....

With the team doing a complete 180 on their form when EG returned, and also EG not being as effective lately (his Lakers game performance was mostly taking spot up 3's) AND Monty's increased minutes for Rivers and Darius Miller, I think we've kinda thrown in the towel and really want another high pick.

If Otto Porter has legit range I'd run with him at the 5-8 range. If we land higher aim for Shabaz. I don't like any of the skinny centers coming out. The PG's don't really excite me much as I want this Hornets team back in the playoffs in 2 years and would rather a proven floor general to make that happen.

Otto porter is a luol deng clone, plays exactly like him, very long, lockdown defender, incredible rebounder, great jumpshot, unorthodox style, if we could get porter that would be great

Wouldn't mind him at all. Where do you think he will end up going pick wise?

Gordon is always dribbling the ball off his feet. Does anybody else notice that?

Which confuses the hell out of me. He had solid handle before. Now he can barely penetrate the lane without fumbling the ball.

People on this board are pretty high on deng but he is old but porter plays identical, just like deng he will prob avg 7-8 Rebs a game in the nba, he also also incredible at defending and is a sharpshooter from 3 and maybe has the best midrange shot in the draft

What if we get pick #5. I like him a lot but not sure he is worth that, that is why I was asking.

That's how I feel with Burke or Smart. At #5 I think it's a reach, but if you believe strongly enough in a prospect you should be comfortable taking that play #1 or top 3. I don't know. There is only one player I value more than burke, and that's Shabazz.

Many felt Sam Presti was reaching on both Westbrook and James Harden. As a GM you should never be afaird to trust your judgement. Every year we see players fall and later we come back and try to figure out how in the world so many teams past on said player.

Couldn't agree more, westbrook and harden we're both reaches, people thought they were crazy to take harden before tyreke, that's why professional scouts get paid the big bucks

It really depends on ur big board, if u have the 5th pick and ur 6th best player on ur big board is there u take him, anyways mine goes like this

    1. McLemore
    2. Shabazz
    3. Noel
    4. Anthony Bennett
    5. Otto porter
    6. Trey Burke
    7. Marcus smart
    8. Zeller
    9. Alex Len
    10. Archie goodwin
    11. Glen Robinson III
    12. James Mcadoo

Out of all these the ones I do t want us to daft because they won't fit are Bennett, zeller or Mcadoo, I would be ecstatic with any of the rest, I think the biggest sleeper who will rise is glen Robinson who reminds me so much of the next Paul George!

I've watched him and Burke a good bit this year and I can't decide who i'd rather draft. They're both VERY good.

This is where we differ, I think Bennett would be a great fit, if he is there when we pick he will probably be the BPA and fills a need.

How in the world dies he fit with us? We already have davis ryno and smith at power forward? And please don't say at small forward because there is no way he could play the position, he is way to slow to defend SFs and cannot play perimeter defense, if we needed a power forward no doubt I would have him as the best player of anyone in this draft for us but we don't, right now I'd give anything to land shabazz.

I wouldn't mind grabbing a second round pick and stashing them in Europe for a few years. Someone like Sergey Kharasev, who plays the 3 for Triumph, is a good ball handler, lights out shooter and is ambidextrous would be nice. Keep him in Europe for 2 years til he is 21 and bring him over. Even someone liken Nemanja Nedovic from Lietuvas who is a combo guard (a European style- meaning he can actually play the 1 and isn't just an undersized 2) is a great athlete, good ball handler and distributor would be nice too.

Love the of grabbing a Euro stash, in todays NBA its usually the smartest thing you can do with a 2nd round pick. Demps is off the Spurs model, so hopefully he likes the idea as well.

I thought this draft was supposed to be crap. Then I start reading things and all of a sudden I feel like we're choosing between an infinite amount of hall of famers between picks 1 and 15. To an extent this happens every year. What gives?

Drafts getting crapped on due to no true "Face" for it. No Davis, Rose or even Wall, noone will be a super star in here, but it should have solid role players through the end of the lottery, maybe even an all star appearance or two.

However, if you only get to win one lottery for a generation or so, this is NOT the year you want. You will get a good, but not franchise changing player.

I hate when people say a draft is trash. No one really knows what will become of these players.

I think there are 5 players in this draft that have the potential to be stars in this league, key word being potential.

Noel, Bazz, McLemore, Smart and Burke. Maybe none of them end up being a franchise player, but I think those 5 have the brightest futures. I hope we land one of those five. I will be ecstatic if we do.

Solid Otto Porter footage, kinda dig the music too.
