Say what you will, but I think Deron Williams has an atrocious contract. I think its like 5 yrs $95mil?

Well I was going to say that I love him as a player because he is a former Illini, but Deron Williams because his production has fallen off this year and his teammate Joe Johnson has to be 2 of the worst contracts next to Amare Stoudemire.

If Derron Williams or Rajon Rondo became Pelicans I wouldn't buy tickets til they left. I can not stand either of those *** clowns.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

I didnt say we're looking for friendly contracts. I said he is on a bad contract. He is on same type of contract as ryno. You think he is as good as ryno?? Not even close. They gave him that contract out the kindness of their hearts after that whole health incident. I know that prob sounds silly but its true. I am not against paying out some big contracts if the player is worth it. Sorry but Jeff green aint the guy to get us over the hump. We are only 1 to 2 key pieces away from a 3-5 seed. IMO...with some tweaks to the bench as well of course.

Well u will be buying tickets forever then. So, get the money ready!!! ....sucks that rondo just blew out his acl. I hate to see any of these guys sustain devastating injuries like that.

Rondo I get. Williams less so. Unless its because of that contract.

why on earth would we covet him? We need NBA-level back-ups who can handle the ball.
I see the Mavs are lookin' at A.I., and I would too before Green.
Monty sees the future in Aminu. So do I. Let the man gget his minutes. At his rate of improvement over the last few months, he'll be great,

Jeff Green doesn't do anything great. He's an average player who is getting paid more than Ryan Anderson. Its terrible contract. At least Aminu rebounds and defends well. Green is just average at everything.

If rondo had 5 consecutive trip dubs to start his career here then you'd probably buy some tickets.

I don't agree with the way MM phrases most of his posts but that list certainly not one to attack.

Bargnani and STAT are the two worst and I don't think it's particularly close. JJ is horrendous, but he can at least put up numbers; same with Deron. Green and Perkins are also real bad. Gay and Boozer are about the same level, imo. John Salmons is awful. Rip and Crash are also looking bad.

One to take a closer look at is Kobe. He is getting paid an astronomical amount. He is producing on offense, but is so so bad at playing off-ball defense this year.

For bad contracts that are small enough to not really care about, the Lakers are still paying Duhon.

noo Green has always been way overrated, he's not particularly good at anything and his contract is horrible

What do you guys think off Jeff Green now? I think he is a solid contributor at the 3 and would be willing to give up Lopez and something for him.

    I like that idea

Perry Jones is unproven though. I am not sure I want to wait around for him to develop or that OKC would want to part with him either. Jeff Green provides production as well as the young vet leadership. He is also entering his prime. We forget he came back after an open heart surgery so he is not a finished product. Post allstar he is averaging 17.3/ 4.8/2.7/ 1.2blks. Also shooting 44% from deep. Don't forget the monster game against Miami where he put up 43 against Lebron.

I love Jeff Green. Anyone who says he's not am upgrade over Aminu must not watch him . Constantly aggressive, good defender and has Aminu's athleticism with a jump shot. He doesn't look lost when on the court. Just watch him, he's become one of the Celtics 1st scoring options.

We will never go anywhere if we keep adding 19 year olds. If our pick ends like 7-10, I'd trade our pick for Green or Bradley. May even have to throw Gordon in there, which I'd do to get both.

  18. #43
They need a big man so I would rather throw in Lopez and maybe someone like Henry/Thomas or Roberts with the pick for Green. That way we can pursue Bledsoe, Jennings, or Reke in the FA for our point.

  19. #44
    Not a fan. Pass.

Also, Bledsoe isn't a FA. He is under contract for 1 more year.

Id love to get jeff green at SF and we can afford him, if we could trade our 2014 pick and lopez for him and draft noel and sign jennings or teague

    jennings/teague
    gordon
    green
    davis
    noel

this team would be a problem for anyone 2 years down the road.
