Trade Idea Thinking we should go after Jeff Green....

    http://basketball.realgm.com/tradech..._trade/6216519

Why Boston- they have sullinger, garnett. This trade will free up 9mill in cap space. Boston move these pieces to go after Gasol and I think the can compete again.

    Gasol
    Garnett
    Pierce
    Lee
    Rondo

Why Hornets- green is the answer at the three. Young Vet, athletic, can play defense and spreed the floor.

So they should trade their SF for a third PF?

If we're going after guys like that, we should grab Perry Jones instead.

Not exactly..they are trading a 9M bench SF (Pierce is the starter) for a quality Center (if they can get Gasol). Garnett is not a true center and they have been leaking ever since the Perkins trade.

I want guys who can knock down shots. Look at SA. Who on that team can't hit a shot?

Rondo is now out for the season....are they more willing to pull the trigger on a trade since they can't compete for a championship this year?

A big fat no from me. He's getting paid 36 million over 4 years (including this year) for below average production. Pass.

I was wondering why I hadn't heard about it yet, ESPN just put up the story 5 minutes ago. Thanks for the heads up

Is he known to have a legit 3 point shot? I know he's got a good mid range game.

He can definitely make them. Especially the corner. He's an average three shooter. He's 3 pointer is comparable to that of LeBrons.

Gotcha, thanks... I'll take anyone who can create a shot at this point.

He's waayy overpaid. If Boston is willing to blow things up we should be looking at Lee instead.

Very much over paid and i would not welcome him or his contract to this team ....on the other hand if we could get sefelosha from the thunder I'd love it!!!!

I was thinking the same thing....
"we might make dollars, but we don't necessarily make sense"

"always be sincere....whether you mean it or not"

He is not over paid for what he brings to the team. If all we are looking for is friendly contracts we might as well never look to compete. We are going to look like the Sacremeto Kings if we keep looking for mediocre players.

    Andre Iguodala =$14,718,250
    Andrei Kirilenko =$9,779,349
    Trevor Ariza =$7,258,960
    Jeff Green =$8,100,000

When you factor in the length and size of the contract compared to production, I think Jeff Green is one of the worst 20 contracts in the league. Maybe bottom 10. How many below average players have a contract worth an average of 9 million per year? How many of those have 3+ years left on the deal?

I am going through the bad contracts in my head, and I can't come up with 10 that are worse, all things considered

I'd much rather pair up a cheaper shooter at 3 than pay Green 8 mil a year. I understand not wanting to just settle with "mediocre" players, but paying average players big money isn't the way to stop that trend...
    Wherehappens.

This will be fun. Rank the worst contracts in the league. My top 5:

    1. Amare ( 3 years/64 million)
    2. Andrea Bargnani (3 years/33 million)
    3. Carlos Boozer (3 years/47 million)
    4. Joe Johnson (4 years/88 million)
    5. Drew Gooden (3 years/20 million)

Damn, Gooden? His agent deserves a raise.

Sigh...this is why you get called out on your bs. You are so selective with your use of "facts." Rudy Gay (3/53) has a better contract than Carlos Boozer (3/47)? LOL. By what metric? And why is Boozer's deal so bad?

Boozer is a highly productive, efficient and super consistent offensive and defensive player, has better efficiency numbers across the board than Gay, yet makes millions per year less than him. They both play on winning teams with great defenses, so Boozer certainly isn't putting up empty stats.

So lets hear it. How is Gay's contract more valuable than Boozer's? And why statistically is Boozer's so bad (3rd WORST...LOL)? Because the numbers (facts) say Boozer is a more productive and efficient player for cheaper.

    Pretty simple right?

Thinking we should go after Jeff Green....

With rondo hurt they actually need a PG. but that would leave us with rivers or Roberts running the point. Ehhhhhh

Where is the word facts anywhere in my opinion of the five worst contracts? I invited everyone to put out their own. Go ahead, disagree and put out yours, nobody is stopping you.

And I guarantee nobody else will be as immature in their evaluation of your subjective list. But thanks for calling me out on my "BS". I feel sorry for whatever has made you such an angry person in your life. Try to relax. It is a game.

Damn, Joe Johnson must be one of the wealthiest players in the league right now.
