I'm reasonable. I can understand why some of you find it odd. With that being said.. I know the other top tier superstars weren't going to be available. If you remove those guys, who's better than AD? I wouldn't want a package of players that aren't as good as him. Especially if I'm trying to win now. Mav's owner has just made some derogatory comments about Luka. He clearly had something against him, and whatever it was its been brewing for some time. Pretty clear now that he didn't want to pay him, and hated his approach to the game.

I agree there's no conspiracy, it just makes no sense not to shop him around...even if you've decided that AD is the only player you'd trade him for (by the way, lol), at the very least, get a little leverage from other teams to get the Lakers' FRP in '31, some pick swaps, maybe Reaves instead of Christie...something.
And with this latest injury to AD, the Mavs GM looks like an even bigger moron.

if he was shopped around, they would have undoubtedly gotten a better deal, or at least more from the Lakers
Even if there is no conspiracy, a GM should not do something so destructive just out of spite for a player. That is crazy. They could have easily gotten a better deal out of a sign and trade for Luka. An impulsive move if true
I agree with you and others. Even If I wanted AD as a principle in my trade, I'd reach out to a few more teams to make the Lakers give up a few more assets.
I don't know boss. Not so sure it was impulsive. I think they just reached a point of frustration where they felt the only recourse was to move him. Which happened over the course of some time. I know some of you don't agree with me on this but maybe I'm a little bias towards AD. I don't think you can get a better player at the centerpiece of a deal.

Some of you cats need to learn how to communicate without getting personal. Point specifically to anything I've said that was hyperbolic, or that would indicate a major bias. You won't find anything. The same issues you've all communicated with Ingram, I've agreed with. I'm also extremely high on Zion, and have communicated that I wouldn't trade him. I'm also high on Herb, and Trey.
It's now being reported that they reached out to the Bucks, and Wolves for Ant, and Giannis. So yes, it was actually 2 other teams besides the Lakers. This reiterates the point I was making. You can't get any of the other premier players for Luka, even though a debate can be had about whether or not he's worth it.
So, it seems like it should go without saying, but teams don't want to get rid of their homegrown superstar franchise player generally speaking. That doesn't make the trade any better and it's weird you seem to think otherwise. If it were AD plus 3 firsts and two swaps then it would be a little more balanced/understandable. But even then I can't see many GM's even considering such a trade.
What is it you think "I think"? You keep adding more to what's communicated.
