How is 1 year 3mil less than 3 years 4.9mil? Thats 1.6 per
JRE is also making 2.1mil this year so again, Karlo is not making more, but I honestly don’t know what that has to do with playing time or NBA experience.

5 million dollar contact for 3 years indicates a bigger commitment than 1 year < 3 mil. Its time to cut your losses and admit you were wrong about Matkovic.

I’m not admitting to anything in regards to a second round pick from 2 years ago who hasn’t played a second in the NBA. He’s going to have to prove it. He hasn’t even started over Missi the last 2 SL games, I think expectations need to be tempered.
The Pelicans have literally invested more money into Matkovic than they did for Theis or Robinson Earl, thats just a fact. And also more years too. Its a longer commitment meaning Matkovic will likely to be on the team next year and Theis and Robinson Earl likely wont be. Its more money because its literally more money.
Im not expecting him to be an all star. I am expecting him to be a bench contributor at a position of need.

Per year that’s not a fact. Does Herb Jones make more money than BI bc BI has 1 year left on his deal at 36mil but Herb has a longer deal at 54mil that’s kicking in? Thats a very odd way of looking at who makes more and I completely disagree with that thought process so this is going no where if that is your basis.
The Pelicans gave Brandon 5 years 150+ million, so no they didnt invest more in Herb Jones than BI.
Reeves looks pretty good. I know its summer league, but he's got some more juice than most of the other guys out there.

Nope. My statement was that the Pelicans are paying him more money total than they are paying other guys. Their investment in Matkovic is bigger both in terms of dollars and years.

I don’t consider stating a 2nd round pick from 2022 isn’t going to play “painting myself in a corner” at all. I think anyone who thinks he will be a serious part of the rotation and absorb LNJs minutes from last year for instance wayyyy more of a leap.
I’ll play by your rules for just a second. Pels signed Missi to a 4 year 15.5mil deal. So by your logic, Pels are 3x more committed to Missi than Karlo haha so that’s going to directly correlate to playing time right?
