BI, Zion, and CJ had a net rating of +3 when on the court together. BI and Zion had a +13.4, BI and CJ had a +13.2, Zion and CJ was just +5.4.
BI and Zion worked. BI and CJ worked. It was CJ and Zion and all three together that didn't work.
I honestly think this would be a worse move in some ways.
Markkannen had some qualities then but he had yet to break out. While some people speculated there was unlockable upside, basically nobody really expected him to explode the way he has.
By comparison, it didn't take a genius to know that BI's value was higher with 2 years on his deal than with 1, or to know what the rules of the salary cap are. It goes up, but not by enough to overcome the problems that that kind of extension would provide.
Basketball.
What does Trey do good besides shooting wide open shots ?
I'd be fine moving Trey or CJ if they can't get good value for Ingram and decide to resign him.
- Drives the lane for a dunk
-3 pointer made, contested by 7 foot Lauri Markkanen
-Steals the ball, leads the fast break, dishes to CJ for a layup
-Pick n Roll with Zion, assist for a dunk
-Steal, leads break, assist to Zion for a dunk
-Catches lob from Naji on the break
-Goes backdoor, gets pass from Naji, 2 hand dunk
-Steal, fast break, one hand dunk on some poor soul
-Sprints back after a Herb steal for another dunk
-Another steal, passes full court to Herb for a dunk.
-WIDE OPEN 3 MADE
-Iso on some 76er player and just bullied him to the rim for a layup
-Fast break dunk, assist from Larry
-30 ft 3 pointer made, contested by Niang
-Pass to BI on the fast break for a dunk
-Catches lob from Naji for a dunk
-Makes 3 pointer contested by Gary Harris
-Posterizes Markelle Fultz on a dunk
-No look pass to Larry for a dunk
-Fast break pass from Larry for a dunk
-Steal, drives full court for a layup through traffic
-Fast break dunk and 1
-Fast break lob from Jose, dunk
-3 pointer contested by D lo
-Dunk on pass from Jose
-Half court lob from CJ, dunk
Okay which of these does he do consistently I can do the same for Ingram and make him seem like a hall of famer let’s be fr
I know its a pipe dream but good Lawd...
Dejounte Murray very good trade but...
What are we doing? We don't have a decent center in the team (and we need two, not even one starter) and Missi... who knows is a rookie, the centers in the FA are almost gone and we only have an option of a trade, TM3 or BI with picks.
The thing is... we will get a decent C and be a better team in exchange of BI and TM3? I have my doubts, honestly I think that's not possible.
Only for picks? Maybe then we could be a better team. Picks for... Kessler? WCJ? I think Utah or Orlando wouldn't accept that and maybe is too much for them.
And we need rotation, key players with minutes like Larry, JV, Naji and Dyson were gone...

The rookie already weigh 230 and is about 611 and very athletic I wouldn’t be surprised for him to get a lot of run because his job for the most part will be pretty simple crash the board be a deterrent on defense catch a lob here and there sit in the dunker spot
if we want a big to space the floor for all the we need to extend Trey Murphy talk he better get his 6’10 behind out there and grab some boards and lock up it ain’t like he facing embiid jokic sabonis and ad every night
Season may be months away but, let's be fair, we all know things are vastly more likely to happen in the FA period than later.
Yes, the Donovan Mitchell trade happened in September but the reason that was so shocking was that it's an outlier.
Generally speaking, this is when things get done. There's always an outside chance of a move later in the summer but it's a pretty reasonable assumption to think that the big moves are over in the first two weeks of July.
The Kings have let it be known Keegan Murray isn’t available in trade talks, per @sam_amick on @Sactown1140 (https://t.co/xqJR8FQpBa).

It’s unlikely Sacramento would be able to get into conversations for star-level players without the inclusion of Murray. pic.twitter.com/tX8sufBd1J
As expected.
Have we tried Phoenix yet? Didn’t CJ enjoy his workout with Durant?
Good to see Lebron killed any chance of Ingram or big Free agent next 2 years.

What date does training camp begin?
What date does the season start?
What date is the trade deadline?
Talking to some teams tonight and it sounds like what's being worked on now is expanding some of the previously agreed upon trades. There are also talks of tying some deals together into bigger deals.

Essentially, teams are trying to find ways to make mutually beneficial trades.
Related to this: With most of the best free agents off the board, it sounds like trades are probably the next wave.

Anyone looking to make a major impact move is going to have to do it via trade at this point.
