5 Reasons Why Jordan Hawkins Should Be Playing!

    1. He can create his own shot (Incredible 1st step)
    2. He plays fast and never stops (when on court Pels have movement on offense)
    3. He can shoot off the screen and drive to basket
    4. He is most clutch shooter on team ( to win a game who do you trust more?)
    5. He is a young Ray Allen here are Allen and Hawkins 1st year stats (30 min. vs 20 min.):

    Now do his defence.
That's why Willie won't play him.

I think it's wrong, but Willie thinks basketball is all about defence.

Probably because he was a scrub who back in the 90's got games because he scrapped and tried harder on defence.

In the playoffs all players play hard on defence and their offence will get found out.

With Dyson out, he's definitely got an opportunity for more minutes. Trey gave us something on defense last game which was nice to see, so I u sweet and why he's not getting TM3's minutes.

He looked good in the all star game.

    Did he ever:
"Later during a timeout, Hawkins Rising Stars coach Jalen Rose addressed the team with his hand on Hawkins' shoulder when he said, "You got the potential to be playing on Sunday (All-Star game.)" Hawkins' team won the Rising Stars challenge, with the New Orleans rookie scoring 12 points, grabbing six rebounds, and dishing four assists in the two games he played. He committed zero turnovers on the night. Despite the praise he receives for his play, Hawkins never diminishes the opportunity he has."

I don’t get it with his lack of minutes. Willie has done many many stupid things, but Hawk not playing is probably number one. I don’t care what his excuse is. If he’s a defensive minded coach, someone needs to tell him that you don’t learn to play defense in the NBA without actually playing.

Willie is one of those coaches that prioritizes chemistry over strategy. He wants his lineup his way and he wants it to be the best it can be. It has worked for some teams. Problem is, Willie just isn’t getting the max out of these guys and he has more talent than he knows what to do with. You can mask weaknesses by pairing certain players on the floor together. You can match players against certain guys so they aren’t as exposed. You can pick and choose your minutes depending on the flow of the game. Willie has that grindy old school mentality. It is what it is.

Willie just following the Stan and Alvin code of not playing the rookies.
