This would have been a nice lineup…

    PG: Murray/Alvarado
    SG: McCullum/Hawkins
    SF: Ingram/Murphy/Naji
    PF: Zion/Herb
    C: JV/Zeller

I think it was Naji instead of Dyson. Pels wanted to buy low and rightfully so. They have no real reason to make a trade unless it makes them 100% better. Trading Herb, Dyson, or Trey would have been a back step for the future. I just don’t think people are realizing how good Dyson will be. He’s elite on defense and really is working on his offense.

Salaries would not have worked with Naji if we had any intention of dodging tax.

Yeah so if it had to be Dyson, I would walk too. I’m just kind of assuming cause he missed the game prior to the deadline.

Dyson is a great defender but can’t shoot worth a lick. His peak is Ben Simmons without the BS. I’d take Murray over a maybe Ben Simmons.

    That's rubbish.
Dyson has made and taken more 3's than old Benny has even attempted.

He's 20 years old. He wouldn't be the first player to ever improve his offensive game. Just because Ben Simmons didn't, doesn't mean nobody else did. Herb Jones increased his 3pt % by over 6% so far this year. Jose Alvarado is up nearly 8% from 3pt versus 2 years ago. Both those guys are also over five years older than Dyson. He is still developing.

Dice has to improve dramatically on offense. The good news is he looks capable and he will be incredibly valuable if he can build consistency.

So, would you take him over D. Murray on this team?

Any waived players worth going after?

I'd like to bring in PG, Killian Hayes, the former # 7 in 2020 (Kira's draft class). Not a great shooter, but a good table setter who can defend. As we have seen recently, you can score all you want, but if you can't defend, you are in a pickle. BI is spread too thin and the ball stops moving when CJ or Max has the ball.

Killian is not very good. Don't see him getting any run over Jose. Only way I could see us sign him is if Griff wants to take a look at him in practice the rest of the year (or with Squadron) because he is so young.

All you guys arguing on who they should add.
Look at who is available and of those who would actually sign here would any be better than the Pels top 8 or 9 guys?

If the answer is none, then why would they sign anyone or why would the player sign to sit on the bench?

Ben Simmons' peak was an all-star player.

I know he's a meme now but he was actually quite good.
    Basketball.
