    Pelicans November 18th - New Orleans Pelicans v Boston Celtics - 9-6



    Today we take on the 12-3 Celtics, currently the best team in the NBA by win total.

    They are 1st in offense, 18th in defense. Their last loss came 9 games ago, to Cleveland, by 1 point. Prior to that, it was October 28th, also to Cleveland.

    I will say, however, that their current run of 8 straight wins is a little padded: they've played the Pistons twice, OKC, Chicago, and the Knicks, none of which are good teams. There are, however, wins over ATL and the Nuggets, so there is real success there.

    Put simply, this game will not be easy, in all likelihood. Even if we win, it will probably be a struggle.

    So let's see what fight the team has in them.

    Boston shoots LOTS of 3s. They are:

    Tied for 1st in 3 pt attempts per game
    2nd in 3 pt frequency
    4th in 3 pt %

    So they'll shoot you out of a game or shoot you in it. They are bottom quartile (if not bottom 5) in shots at the rim to 19 ft.

    They might purposefully keep Zion out of this game, though Boston isn't built to handle bruisers at the rim.

    Is Zion playing tonight? This is a good test for the pels, we have been playing good the past 2 games and hopefully it continues tonight!

    this is a good game to bet on...we out shoot boston in the 3pt game and win by 10+.......going for the big bucks..

    This game's going to be tough, but I also feel like this is another one of those turning point games when it comes to local fan support. Given the Saints struggles and fading down the stretch, the recent 3 game win streak, and the hottest team in the NBA in town, I expect we will have the eyes of the whole city on this one. If we were to get this win, I think we'll see the bandwagon picking up steam.

    Yeah the Pelicans are ascending at the same time the Saints are descending... the city has rallied behind this team too, its happening
