Speaking of who we might see, is Lonzo traveling with the Bulls?

Facts. We were last in the league for 3pt attempts but with these results we should see more of them now.

Awesome team win, ball was moving on offense. Perimeter shooting obviously but I like seeing Jonas featured on offense.

I'm pretty sure they have decided to let that elbow properly heal.

Well this thread won't be very large. The depressed need meds crew, save for a few stragglers, will look really strange rn.

He needs to be in 6th man OTY conversations now.

Pels get rewarded at the end of their home stand with back-to-back games against NBA finals teams.

Meanwhile the Lakers get an in-season vacation.

Some people speculated that we might start to see some strategy adjustments with the home stand, and the media was starting to comment on some of Willie's issues - including his aversion to 3pt shooter - so this is where we hoped changes would start showing up. If the 3pt priority sticks around then it'll be a good sign for the future of this season and Willie's willingness to adapt, especially if dyson continues seeing minutes after Zion returns (he should, his minutes should come from Naji + Graham).

We should be a good 3pt team! Trey, CJ, Ingram are all high volume, high accuracy 3pt shooters. Jose seems to have improved this year. JV can shoot pretty well for a big (obviously not crazy high volume but it exists). Graham, when/if he gets minutes can shoot. The lack of 3pt shooting this season is not a personnel issue, we have the names: the issue is that we just did not look for them at all, and Green didn't want us to.

If he's properly changing his mind then that's very positive. Last season it took him 60 games to learn to stop playing Temple. If he can make an adjustment to the team's overall offensive identity (more point Zion, fewer post ups in his last few games, more 3s now at the home stand) within about 15 games, that's a much more positive sign.

Coaches can learn too. If they can learn fast, that's even better.
    Basketball.

It's better to play the hard teams early anyway. You don't want a super hard schedule at the end of the season

Games 62-82 for us this year:

    - Magic
    - Blazers x3
    - Warriors x2
    - Kings x2
    - Mavs
    - Thunder
    - Lakers
    - Rockets x2
    - Spurs
    - Hornets
    - Clippers x2
    - Nuggets
    - Grizzlies
    - Knicks
    - Wolves

Right now, Magic, Warriors, Thunder, Lakers, Rockets, Spurs, Hornets, and Wolves all have losing records: Lakers and Rockets specifically are a combined 6-22.

Obviously the state of teams in November says nothing about the strength they'll be at by the end of the year: look at us last year for a prime example.

However, given where those teams are plus expectations for how things might go for them (Blazers probably going to regress a bit, Kings may well regress, Wolves are a coinflip, etc) the end of the schedule looks oh-so-pleasant.

Edit: further, 11 of those games are at home and we close the season with 4 of our final 5 being at home.

Just to clarify: 303 games ago was November 19th, 2018. Almost 4 years to the day.

It seems he mostly plays in the 2nd and 4th quarters. When the team are the most tired. And they have to run around after him.

That's actually a relatively new thing. Earlier in the season Jose was - frustratingly - getting very little 'closing lineup' run. So it's a sign of coaching staff leaning that that's changed.

    Very encouraged by Willie's....coaching!

Excellent rotations that make sense. We seem to be running specific actions to get guys good shots. I guess we just need a little patience. Imagine that!

Yes, Boston will be a really good test. Hopefully Zion comes back for that game.

I hope he sits out that game. I'm sure I'm in the minority here, but we seem to play better as a team when Zion is not in the lineup. Maybe the team just needs time to form chemistry with him on the court, but right now that's the way things appear to me.
