ESPN changing the program at the last minute?
God I hate this network.

I'm gonna be cheesed off if the game is on but not on TV where I can watch.
I was always under the assumption that only two venues for Summer League in Vegas. So if there's two games on, the Pels just gotta wait for the one they're after to finish.
On 2nd look I think that’s the case. I’m just scarred from trying to watch summer league the other day and they had on the NHL draft.

On other news, man. Jabari Smith isn't in a great position to succeed I fear. So many young guys who wanna make their mark and no structure around him. It's Summer League of course, but he looks so timid.
Tbh I’ve never even saw the NHL draft. Or a commercial maybe.

One of my bigger misgivings about him as a top top guy in the draft was that, to a large extent, he doesn't generate that many easy looks for himself. He settles for jumpers as a default, and he requires someone else to set him up. That's not a bad thing necessarily and obviously he's still young enough that he has plenty of time to improve some of these things, but Houston is packed full of score-first bucket-getters and not many people who legitimately facilitate, and I think it's not going to be the best environment for Jabari to maximise his strengths. At least early on.
Basketball.
No one on that Houston team is in a good position to succeed. Watching them, whether it's their Summer League or their regular team, is a chore.

It's been 65 minutes since this game was scheduled to start.
Reminds me of how the NBA draft always starts 20 minutes after the start time, and the All-Star game always tips off 45 minutes after the listed start time. Why can't things just start when they're supposed to?
I'm so pumped for Matkovic. I hope he kills it.

Loved Liddell's verticality on that defense, would have been easy to foul there
Hard to tell if Dyson is navigating these screens well or if they're just very spacious screens, perhaps a bit of both, but still
So they can call travel in the NBA...
