It's hard to believe that Portland drafts Ben over Sharpe.

Would we be crazy to propose a trade to the Heat sending Jaxson Hayes and Devontae Graham to the Heat for Duncan Robinson? Is his contract too much to absorb? Even if we could absorb it would we want to considering how he's fallen out of favor in Miami? I fully confess to my ignorance concerning the financial numbers that have to add up to make the trade work, so if it's completely impossible feel free to scoff.

I've been hearing a lot of rumblings that Portland may trade the pick.

Daniels, Dieng or Sochan at #8.

Google "ESPN Trade Machine" and figure it out yourself. Neither of those guys seem like "Heat Culture" kinda dudes. I don't think the Heat would be interested.

Looks like Bulls may be shopping Coby White. Might not be be a bad idea to offer Jaxson for him (swap of the #7 & #8 picks in the 2019 draft) and take a flier for a year to see if he can be a bigger, more consistent version of Devonte. Could then unload Devonte in a separate trade if necessary to free up a roster spot. Coby has his flaws, but he's still young and seems to have improved every year in the league.

You may be right, but I do think the Heat are probably motivated to get away from Duncan's contract, and they could probably use an extra big on their team.

Edit: well it works via the trade machine, but it forced me to look at the numbers andif they don't like Robinson's contract they probably won't want Graham's either.

Coby shot .385 from 3 on 5.8 attempts last year. His rookie year he shot .354 on 5.8 attempts. He shot .359 on 6.6 attempts his second year. So, yes he improved.

I'm not ready to give up on Devante.

I doubt they trade Temple... they're way more into "culture" now, which I totally understand. Hernandgomez is another guy that I would like to see them use in a trade but both he and Temple seem like glue guys that they won't get rid of.

    I could be wrong... wish I wasn't.

I said it before -- Temple did his part. CJ is the culture vet now and they want BI to take a step up and be more of a leader this year. Moving Temple actually helps him take that step. Not saying they will go out of their way to move Temple, but they wont hold onto him for culture reasons. He will be gone, be it in July or in February. He did what he was brought in to do

Supposedly JV is a huge part of the culture currently as well based on some Willie and Griff comments. Not sure Temple really needed any more.

Interesting, I thought BI took a step with leadership this year but sounds like they want more. From my perspective, he seems like the type to not use his words often rather just show the work. A “lead by example type”.

    Agreed!! This is BI's team....period!!!

    Don't believe me? Ask, Willie.

  17. #217
    It's definitely BIs team

He's obviously an introvert, which makes leading even harder

If he stays the next contract, will be the best Pel of all time so far

If that's the case then we need to upgrade Billy too then. Great locker room guy but we can do better at backup 5.

Cannot get behind this at all

Billy is universally loved, super low maintenance and making ******** all.

    Keep him at all costs

Nance is the backup 5. Billy is the 5th big. You won’t find many (any?) better 5th bigs

He is perfect because that guy won’t play when team is healthy and yet he will still be on his feet cheering for his teammates. You can’t load a roster up with 14 or 15 good players. Because then 5 guys will be going into Trajan’s office complaining and asking for a trade every week

I'm not sure how long Billy wants to continue this role with this team. In the exit interviews he mentioned multiple times he wants an expanded role.

Anybody worth his salt would say that; then, reality sets in.

He better expand his skills and become a lights out 3pt shooter, if such a thing is possible for him.

think a shot for klay could be good? exp of a chris paul but on the wing and maybe got with a pick and a player or 2 given his salary?

I highly doubt GS look to move him until he's about 37, if at all
