He's about to become our highest paid player and, if he can stay healthy, is in line to be a top 10 player in the NBA. Last year some of the drama was big enough that a lot of people - at least, terminally online people who heard about it - weren't too pleased with him. Makes sense to publicise the fact that he's not actually a jerk, right as he's about to return to being the 'face of the franchise'.
    Basketball.

It's actually him doing the work. And he's doing the kind of work that we as a community should be supportive and appreciative of.

Basically everyone says he's a nice person. While obviously the team isn't about the publicise it if he's not nice, there was a lot of talk last year from his camp that looked bad, even if it wasn't him saying it personally. The way I see it, the fanbase should be reminded that they're rooting for a nice person and not a jerk.

    Agree.

Let's try not to be so cynical all the time. We also don't know what kind of community service he does without cameras. He's spoken at length about what the WMCA did for him as a kid. Why wouldn't he feel compelled to give back?

Zion is the face, BI is the heart, CJ is the brains, Herb is the engine.

    Jonas is the gigachad

I am admittedly, a full-blown Herboholic...but my favorite moment from this past season...was when Herb made that run at CP3, right after CP3 had taken that cheap shot at him, right in front of the ref. Only area I was worried about Herb coming into this year...was the "toughness" question.

I'd luv to know what Herb went over & said to that ref...just before he made that run at CP3

The one annoying thing about the Durant trade is that every team is going to try and convince themselves that they have the right package to put together, and as a result, it's going to make it so that nothing happens in FA until Durant is traded. Going to hold everyone hostage for hours, at least.

Pretty sure they are trading Kyrie too

Ah, so it'll be for Ayton and change

Screw it. JV, Graham, Temple, Kira, and 3 1sts for KD.

Brooklyn looks like it'll end up with Ayton and Simmons still, potentially still Kyrie. They're improving because they don't have their own FRPs, no value in tanking - they want to stay good.

Na, Kyrie isn't staying. He just had to make sure he got his guaranteed $36 million this season while he rebuilds his value for a long term max. Nets will for sure trade him now, probably to Lakers with Westbrook and picks going to a 3rd team, where he'll probably get bought out.

Lakers can't trade any picks for a few more seasons.
