Thread: April 24th - New Orleans Pelicans vs Phoenix Suns - GAME 4 - 1-2

It really is nice that, win or lose, up in the game or down, this team keeps fighting. It's a novel feeling from Pelicans teams past
    Basketball.

CJ fitting right in with the Pels and these turnovers.

This is actually a pretty fine turnover game. We have 6 all night long.

I don't think that foul was a basketball play!!

    Flagrant 1??

Hard to knock BI on much this game. Really excellent execution, some need passes, very few turnovers. Driving things.

    Good positive energy.

Any ideas as to why we are having so much trouble with McGee?

    Huge 3rd quarter effort.

Just need to really drive home the 4th. Can't assume you're safe just because of a double digit lead against these Suns.

If you can?t bring yourself to saying ?f Jae Crowder? you have no business commenting on this game.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

We're struggling to defend the paint in general; the Suns set consecutive season records in points in the paint through the first 2 games, and then exceeded either of them in game 3. We do not have a reliable quality paint protector - the best shotblocker we have is Jax and he's being used in an entirely different way on D.

JV is fine as a paint presence but he's struggled mightily whenever CP3 is on the court, and the Suns have taken advantage of our hideous TO problem to go nuts in transition in Games 1-3.

defending the paint in general. JV gives us what we need on offense but we also need a defensive presence in there with them leaning heavily on the big guys to produce offense. Thats why I liked the Nance + JV combo

CJ has to tighten up his game. 33% from the floor on 18 shots isn't going to cut it.

Yea, that sounds about right.. I think a more seasoned Jax could alleviate some of those issues.

He has always struggled against long wing defenders. We should know this.
