Lonzo was an RFA. We could of matched and let him continue being a great 3pt asset and move him at a later date. All of that to try to overspend for a clearly declining Kyle Lowry... With the Pelicans..There is always a worse decision around the corner that we narrowly miss. Dodge a bullet to walk into a bear trap.

Move him to the Bulls at a later date for some similar package after him, his dad, and espn roasted the Pels for doing such an established superstar wrong. No thanks, Good Riddance.
It's that the Hornets unashamedly quit so quickly in Game 4 after fans in New Orleans showed up this season with greater regularity than the team could have ever dreamed, shaming misinformed know-it-alls like me who kept telling you that local residents couldn't possibly invest their time and money into something as trivial as rooting for the local basketball team while still recovering from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. - Mark Stien ESPN

Or get roasted for selling him for pennies on the dollar which we did.

When Pelicans stop being a dumpster fire organization. People wouldn't be calling us a dumpster fire organization..

This us vs. Them mentality only makes sense if Pelicans can prove them wrong. Which they haven't done in 15 years.

Or we could have negotiated with him when he wanted us to, rather than make him look elsewhere.
