Well, we somehow held on to the lead but that second quarter was a slog
Basketball.
These weird funky lineups continue to disturb me.
NAW starts the game hot with the starters, but doesn't end the half with the starters.
Trey still gets spot minutes where he's not going to see the floor again until the 4th.
Other teams have these iron men top players that can play entire quarters, but the Pelicans top players play 7 or 8 minutes then it's time for the all bench unit.
Why???

Does Jimmy buckets always flop like this every game? He is very clever. Not as bad as some but he is good at making sure any body contact gets noticed.
Our offense has been essentially just dead for 2 whole quarters now.
Basically nobody on this team is capable of getting quick, easy buckets. The only exception really would be Hayes in transition - which isn't something we do much, he doesn't get many minutes, and it requires a second person - or Jonas when he has a mismatch, and we seem dedicated to ignoring Jonas for long stretches at a time. It's an issue.
what would our record be if the games were only 1 qtr long?
This is the part of the game where we just lay down for them. In the last minute of play we've had:
- Ingram charge
- Ingram turnover
- Ingram turnover
- Trey brick
- NAW blocked
- NAW splits a pair of FTs

NAW went 3/4 in the first quarter. He's 1/6 since.
Ingram's 4/10 on the night, 0/3 from deep. 5 TOs to only 2AST.
Bench is 0/4 from 3.
13 turnovers as a team with a full 14 minutes left to play.
We hit 6 threes in the first quarter, only one as a team since then.
This is a recipe for losing.
