Looks like a bunch of people including myself may eat crow on Memphis being title contenders.

And maybe not. Perhaps my jinx worked?

Minnesota's coach sat on his hands while Memphis went on a 21-0 run. I have no idea why he waited so long to call a TO

    Chris Finch Lol

Hornets fired James Borrego. Makes you wonder if anyone on our staff could be a coaching candidate?

I can't tell you the number of times during that run I was going, "I'd call a timeout here. Oh, I guess he's going to trust his players to work out of it. At least they're still up..."

The game was in Minnesota, so its not like they had to silence the crowd. But yeah, you might wanna take a timeout during a 21-0 run.

Draft and stash Kai Sotto with 52nd pick... he's going to be a marketing gem and nola gets 100mil filipinos cheering for the pels.

If the Pels don't absolutely love someone at #8 (assuming they don't move up in the lottery drawing), I'm thinking this might be a year to trade the pick. They'll have 3 second year guys next year plus Zion coming back. What if a team was willing to trade a later pick plus a future first (or maybe more) for this #8? Then the Pels pick a toolsy guy like Jake LaRavia, and gather more assets for the future. I like LaRavia as a sleeper pick because he has 3 years of college experience but is still only 20-- the best of both worlds. And he's a Franz Wagner-like glue guy/advanced stats darling.

Here's our offensive facilitator and defensive specialist....

I'd even throw in the '22 Laker first (Top 4 Protected)

Can you imagine Herb and him running next to each other against any other guard duo in the league?

This is worse than Julius Randle fanboyism.

Thanks for you take. I'll gladly claim 'fanboy' considering you can't even measure up to 'human'.

Enjoy the game, whatever you are.

Clearly by the icon. I'm Space Ghost, fam. If Pelicans want to not waste $30 million... They are better off going charity to help people than overspend for an Aussie Manchild that cares more about being a socialite than his job.

Yeah, I can imagine you with a ripped condom over your head. You are definitely of that ilk.

You want to destroy the culture, that it took forever for us to finally build? Because you would destroy it, with that one single move. Taker is right, that is a terrible idea. So bad, I'm almost certain you're joking.

Worth noting that Ben Simmons is on an average of $35m a year for the next 3 years, just sat out a whole year, and hadn't played more than 60 games for the two seasons leading into it. He also can't run offense in the halfcourt whatsoever.

Lonzo is 40% 3pt shooter. It's honestly an insult to Lonzo.

It will be interesting to see what they're going to do with Zion. Is all of the talk about Zion coming back a smokescreen to keep other teams from fleecing you when you trade him?

    I don't think so.

The whole goal of an NBA franchise is to find a mega-star. A healthy Zion is a megastar. If we can possibly keep Zion with any reasonable expectation of him sticking with the team and being healthy, we absolutely will. He will get offered the max extension, in my view, and I think he'll take it, and he will be on the roster next season. Hopefully he'll be on the roster and actually playing.
