Remind me these NBA Champions were drafted by whom...

Who was an one and done Kevin Garnett drafted by?

Who was a one and done Anthony Davis drafted by?

Who was a none and done Lebron James drafted by?

Who was a one and done Kevin Love drafted by?

Who was a none and done JR Smith drafted by?

Who was a none and done Dwight Howard drafted by?

Who was a one and done Javelle McGee drafted by?

Who was a one and done Kevin Durant drafted by?

Who was a none and done Shaun Livingston drafted by?

Who was a none and done Tyson Candler drafted by?

Look if you want to be someone's Farm Team, have at it!!
Giannis played against Devin Booker in the championship, a guy drafted at 18 years old. 100% of the teams in the championship drafted an 18 year old. And both were their teams’ best players. Percentages are fun.

Point is simple. If you pass on players because they are 18, you possibly pass on the very best players in the league. That would be idiotic. If last year wasn’t enough proof, I don’t know what to tell you. Yes, they will take time to develop, yes it is risky. Each situation has to have the risk vs reward weighed.

Immediately after trading with Memphis, there were rumors that the Pelicans were targeting Murphy at 17.
They felt they were going to get one of Kipsert or Murphy at 17.

See GSW? Klay, Steph, and Draymond? all from the warriors draft?

    See Spurs: Duncan and Manu

    See Mavs: Dirk

    See Bucks: Giannis and Middleton

See Thunder: they didn?t win a championship but they went to the finals with players they drafted: Harden, Durant, Westbrook?

    Ohhhh and let?s not forget

    PELICANS: Zion 2023 NBA CHAMPS

If you want to get into an argument, at least know the topic.

Klay: Three Years of College (21 YO)
Steph: Three Years of College (21 YO)
Draymond: Four Years of College (22 YO)
Tim Duncan: Four Years of College (21 YO)
Manu Ginobili: Played Professionally in Europe (22 YO)
Dirk Nowitzski: Played Professionally in Europe (20 YO)
Giannis: Played Professionally in Europe (19 YO)
Khris Middleton: Wasn't Drafted by Milwaukee (Detroit); Four Years of College Ball (21 YO)

I think you kind'a made my point. THANKS!!!

(The argument was against drafting teenagers with virtually no experience. They usually flourish on a second team.)

It will take time to build a contender in the New Orleans market. Griffin knows what he's doing, and I'm sure he's continuingly exploring options for roster improvement, even though we may not hear about it(It always takes two to tango). It'll take at least one or two more "marquee" players to get over the hump, imo. Griffin was a good hire. I'm hoping to see some consistency (less turnovers and defensive lapses) at least by the second half of this season. I'm not counting on any blockbuster deals.

Brandon Ingram is the only player remaining in that AD trade
Every high price FA we got was a bust
We was 6-26 and could of gotten Ball, Williams and etc if Griff shut it down, but we ended up with Kira
We again decided to tank too late and lost two spots which could drastically changed the Jonas trade and saved us the Laker pick.
We gave up a 1st pick with crap protection for a dude we could of sign outright with cap space.
We traded away 4 FFP in the past two years with one of those getting ********ed by OKC to take Adam 30 million expiring
Didn't even try to dump Bledsoe after the Holiday trade
We bailed out of the deepest 2nd round for cash and we are looking at Sharife Cooper like... Hmmm
We keep players till they lose all their value or stink up the basketball court

Most importantly... The right moves we made this off season is us cleaning up our mess that never should of been there in the 1st place.

So no. It's about damn time. We made the right moves.
Josh Hart is still here too...

    Herb tho

Best pick of the second round, easily

    Also, Kira is rubbish

Should have taken Anthony or Maxey

    SVG would have loved him.

I thought Kira looked pretty good last night. Maxey is better, of course, but rubbish is super harsh

I really wanted Siddiq Bey in that draft instead of a small guard (but he’s fast!!). Good sized wing that knocks down 3’s and would’ve worked perfectly with Zion. I think we make the playoffs last year if Griff makes that pick instead.

The best rookie on last year's team was Naji Marshall, which is not saying much for KL2.
