I wouldn't do it. We lose upside and $5m in cap. Ingram is only 23; he's gotten better each year. Good wing players are vastly harder to find than combo guards. Before BI our fans were clamoring for a quality versatile SF for years, like nearly as far back as Jamaal Mashburn. Players like BI are rare and we should let him develop.

Dame didn't become Dame until he was 25. Look at both of their stats at 22/23 years old:

Ingram - 24 PTS, 5 AST, 5 REB
Lillard - 20 PTS, 6 AST, 3 REB

But they don’t have assets. They gave us draft their rights for about 7 years (picks included), Ingram, Lonzo and Hart for Davis. If Horton Tucker is all they got then the best they can do is Ben Simmons (and I’m joking there).

Yep. It's going to take a package nearly as big as the one to get AD to get Dame, and they don't have the assets. On top of that, as long as we don't care about any demands from Dame about not wanting to play in New Orleans, we can easily outbid LA.

I know you know that was just a salary dump. That was not "help." That did not get them any assets. Currently, they have no assets and none of the deals you quoted did anything to help them in that regard.
