    That's only for playoff seeding

Lottery ties are decided by coin flips and ping pongs

Gonna have to bust out the vaunted non-Euclidean 3 sided coin for this one

I ask again....how do Pelicans fans not know how the lottery and tiebreakers, etc work by now? We are in it every year. Heck, we have had to do tiebreakers the last two yeara!

Right. But my question is, when they do the tie-breaker, do the odds change for the lottery? Or only for the picks after the lottery?

People forget. I’m sure you’d agree some of us wish we could forget things. Wink wink.

    What?

    1. Tie-breakers determine standings on the ladder within the conference. Largely relevant for playoff seeding

    2. For those teams that land in the lottery on the same record, coin flips etc are used to determine who picks lower. Not conference determinant

Us, Sac and Chicago now have a mini lottery to decide

No, I meant for some reason I remember that tied teams have the same lottery odds regardless of coin-flip, and that their order determined by coin flip would be assuming none made it in the top four.

edit: maybe not exactly the same, but almost the same. I don't remember haha.

WHEN IS THE TIE-BREAKER AND CAN WE HAVE CONFIRMATION OF FULL RAMIFICATIONS AND NOT JUST SNARKY REMARKS

Exactly. Maybe a first round pick

This is highly incongruent to me
Something else Griff mentioned was the basketball IQ of this team (or lack of). Said we can't keep making the same mistakes over and over. I'm trying to find that interview online somewhere. I saw it live but I was kinda in and out on it.
