That depends on what they do with $20 million a year....

Pretty good value for Denver here

First time being with a farm team?

And we didn't have leverage. Klutch been leaking away all our leverage.

    Satoransky is 29

I promise you, not everyone on the roster has to be 25 and under.

Not necessarily, they have his bird rights so their cap situation is meaningless with regards to how much they can offer him.

Surely there is more to this deal

I guess we'll see what we do with the cap space to know for sure. Feels like a loss, now, but if that space is filled with something good.....I dunno.
    Good positive energy.

    But also, yo mama's fat.

That is a joke of a return on Ball. Nothing good to say about this from NBA channel. There has to be something else in mind here (expiring contracts?)

  14. #1839
Now to sit and wait to see what else we do.

Butler isn't a free agent, right? So, this is an extension that goes into effect next season.

Tomas has a 10mil expiring which is fine, Temple was an UFA though so wonder what kind of coin we threw at him.

Are you excited by Satoransky (10 million a year) or Temple (5 million a year)? Both have been routine bench fodder on bad teams.

A complete and utter joke. Griff is making himself look bad.

*Constantly leaks that we won't resign Lonzo*
*Lonzo only want to go to Chicago *
    *Leaks intensify*
*People surprised we got table scraps instead of nothing *

Have we not seen how Rich Paul does business? He always sabotages trade value.

I'm fine with Tomas. He's as good a player as Hart, and he's expiring so he doesn't bog us down with bad long term value.

Similarly, I don't expect Temple to get any real playtime.

The question isn't ''am I excited by these individual players in a vacuum'' because that's not how these kinds of decisions are made. In reality we had three main choices with Lonzo.

    1) Pay him $20m+ a year.
    2) Let him walk for nothing
    3) S&T him for any value we can get.

We did 3. I think that's the best option, because I do not think Ball is worth $20m a year and losing players for nothing sucks. So what did we get back in the S&T? Well, $15m of extremely tradable salary including an expiring, and a second round pick. $10m of that salary is Tomas Satoransky, who is a good and productive NBA player - just as good as, for example, Josh Hart, who will probably cost more than $10m this offseason, so that's saving us money elsewhere as well.

Do I think it's a magical move of genius that makes me thrilled beyond belief? No. But I'm fine with it, and am willing to wait to see what else Griff does before having a tantrum over it.

im just going to assume that rich paul does not want his good players here...so matching lonzo offer would have been a bad thing for us...

I'm starting to believe that David Griffin was brought in to sabotage the organization

We traded Ball for two people who can’t even shoot. Griff is trash man.
