Breaking News LaMarcus Aldridge Retires aged 35

LMA has made the decision retire after a recent scare concerning an irregular heartbeat. For context, Aldridge was diagnosed with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome in 2007 (a heart disorder which can cause heart palpitations, lightheadedness, spontaneous fainting, and even heart attacks) and has had surgery in the past to deal with associated concerns.

Aldridge finishes his career a 7x allstar and 5x All-NBA player, with career averages of 19/8/2.

His 112.6 career win shares is good for 55th all time, just after Kevin McHale and just ahead of Chris Bosh, Stephen Curry, Larry Nance Sr, and Wes Unseld.

With 19951 career points, he finishes 47th all time in scoring, just ahead of Stockton, CP3, and Bernard King.

He retires as the franchise leader in rebounds for the Portland Trailblazers, as well as 3rd in all time Blazers scoring, 4th in blocks, 4th in win shares, and 5th in Blazers VORP.

    Have a good retirement LMA!
