Does Lonzo being out have something to do with that?

Zion is taking and hitting more shots farther away from the basket. Not yet from Brandon range, but it is great to add that to his skills.

No. We did that when Lonzo was healthy too.

Yeah our pace has been way down this year. Pace of 99.0 this season, 15th in the league; it was 103.7 last year, 2nd in the league.
    Basketball.

No it's the new Point Zion thingy.

Both Lillard and Fox have dropped 35 on us this season three times each

Brandon Ingram has been so much better with him being more facilitating and working for better shots in the clutch.

  9. #84
Fox is now up to 40 points for the second time against us this season.

Reminder that Bledsoe got all-D spots over Jrue.

He's been really good tonight offensively, just super efficient and made some nice passes too.

    Oof on the flagrant

I'm still trying to understand how we get a flagrant for Barnes landing on the man's shoes.

You have to give a shooter room to land. You can't remove their landing space, or it's a flagrant. You can get seriously hurt doing that.

This era of basketball is breeding an entire generation of vaginas. A flagrant for guarding someone and having the audacity to stand there with YOUR SHOES!

We escape with the win, that's 3 in a row - matches the Pels longest win streak of the year.

Yikes. We need more shooters. Thankfully BI was up for it.

I thought that was just a regular foul.

Bull********. The shooter jumped into him!

Nope, they changed it to a flagrant a few years ago. If I remember rightly (someone may know better) they changed it after Zaza basically injured Kawhi right off the Spurs doing it intentionally

Nah. Given the circumstances and the opponent, that would be the @Denver game. But I'm pretty sure that's been quickly erased from your memory.

The guy is the new Aaron Brooks for even less reason to be.

Which is also a concern, and why the NBA has already announced they're going to look into rules regarding unnatural shooting motions.

But the reality is that most jump shots naturally carry the player slightly forward. If you're a defender you know that, and you also know that you get called for a flagrant if they land on you, and you should account for that. Gotta play by the rules as they are, not as you wish they were.

I understand giving the shooter space to land, but again, there is no intent to injure there. It's basketball. It's a contact sport. The fact they are being awarded 3 free points is enough.

    This has gotten beyond ridiculous.
