Pelicans March 27th - New Orleans Pelicans vs Dallas Mavericks - 19-25

Like the Pels tweet says, we're looking for a bounce back.

After blowing yet another double digit lead last game, with the offense completely dead late (nobody but Zion scored a single point for the final 7 minutes of the game, and we ended on a shot-clock violation), we take on the Dallas Mavericks.

The Mavericks are currently 23-20, and were missing Luka Doncic in their last game: no idea yet on if he will be back tonight, as Dallas have not yet officially announced, but they did say yesterday that they hoped he would be.

We are, on the other hand, still missing Lonzo Ball and that's it in terms of injuries.

Dallas are the 11th rated offense in the NBA and the 23rd rated defense: they're not quite as offensively potent as us, but neither are they quite as defensively disgusting. They are 5-4 over their last 9 games (all of them since all-star break) which seems about right to me, honestly - they're a solid but not exceptional team, floating comfortably over .500. They were making a surge but Luka's injury has introduced real issues for them.

For us, I just want to see us play good basketball. I'm not asking for miracles, and what the result should be depends on Luka's status, but I just want to watch some good fun basketball and see how it goes.

Luka will play tonight. Thats pretty much guaranteed.

I almost get the feeling opposing stars like to play against Zion.

No Luka, no Porzingis. No excuse for a loss.

Can't tell if we'll win or lose, however, I can tell you we won't close this game out properly and it's gonna be close towards the end.

NAW picking up where he left off

We are struggling a bit with Bilbo here

Kira shows so much positive stuff whenever he gets minutes, it's very telling.

Pels win the first quarter by 15.

I see no reason why we can't just do that the rest of the game.

Odds we blow another double digit lead?

Kira looks like a real point guard.

Couple of rough TOs for Zion so far, he already has 3 which is more than he actually averages in a normal full game

Hey, I didn't say we wouldn't blow it, just that there's no good reason to.

We've lost plenty of games we had no good reason to lose before.

Bledsoe re-enters the game and the lead shrinks. Not surprised at all.

    Absolutely pitiful showing

    Gotta love it. ( sarcasm)

Apparently fans were booing too when Bledsoe went back in. See Stan Van Gundy.

Bledsoe just sucks the energy out of this team.

I love Ingram but he just. dribbles. so. much. It's maddening that he can't read the room sometimes

i got to say....zion scored the last few points in that quarter and ingram should have call zion to come get the ball or zion should have went took the ball from ingram that last play instead of ingram dribbling into the defense... ...
