Thread: March 23rd - New Orleans Pelicans @ Los Angeles Lakers - 18-24

Zion is now 11th in the league in scoring, while having less shot attempts out of anyone else in the top 30 in scoring, he’s just unreal. If he had the same amount of attempts as the players above him on average which is 20 shots a game he would be leading the league in scoring with 32.3 points a game, and he’s 20...

Get rid of Bledsoe asap. Clock is ticking.

    I can't remember precisely.

I know there was a lot of talk about GS trade possibilities but it was basically all just speculation. Every actual 'leak' we had was pretty solid on them loving Wiseman.

This tracks with their general obsession with size as well; remember back when they were convinced it was Durant's team not Stephs, and we had leaks that it was basically because Lacob and Kerr were obsessed with how small Curry was in comparison? It's a weird neurosis they have going on.
    Basketball.

    Zion is:

    - 6th in the NBA in FGs made despite not being top 20 in FGs attempted
    - 7th in the NBA in Free Throws made, 4th in Free Throws attempted
    - 13th in the NBA in offensive rebounds
    - 8th in the NBA in total points despite not being top 20 in Usage Rate
    - 5th in the NBA in FG%, 7th in TS%, 8th in eFG%
    - 9th in the NBA in PPG
    - 4th in the NBA in PER
    - 13th in Offensive Rating
    - 3rd in Offensive Win Shares
    - 8th in Total Win Shares and 10th in Win Shares per 48
    - 15th in BPM
    - 14th in Value Over Replacement Player
    - 1st in ScoreVal

Currently 2nd in a a scoring volume/efficiency streak that dates back to the mid-50s

He is 20 years old. This is absurd production. Obviously the defense is still not altogether there, though it has improved, and there are clear avenues for progress, but the reality of how impactful he is right now, fewer than a full season's worth of games in, not even 21 yet, it's just silly.

BI with a 2nd straight elite performance and a nice chase down block on Shroder.

We learned last night the Lakers are garbage without Davis and Lebron. But if they want Lonzo back now what would you want back? Kuzma? Harrell?

They have nothing. We own all their assets going forward and they have very few desirable players, and even fewer they'd actually move.

    If they pull this off

Spoiler: They won't. Not without at least one other team providing the bulk of the assets, and we all know that once you start needing other teams, the likelihood of a trade going through is much much lower.

I would LOVE if the Lakers traded more assets and young guys for Lowry and gave him the extension he wants. Thats exactly the kind of stuff we want the Lakers to be doing right now. Doing everything with the present in mind so those future picks could have the most potential value
