Thread: 2021 All Star

    All Star 2021 All Star

Zion currently 6th in All Star voting, Ingram in 9th. Make sure you're getting your votes in if you haven't already started: would be nice to get Zion into the ASG when he's still 20, before he's even played 50 games.
    Basketball.

It doesn't make sense to have an all star game this season... but money comes first for this league...

I absolutely agree, the all-star events are largely a vanity project which is fine most of the time but right now its more risk than it's worth.

But if they're going to have all-stars, Zion deserves to be one.

So, if Zion doesn’t make it in the fan balloting, do the coaches and players still vote for the reserves? Is that still a thing? And if they do does Zion get voted in?

I think the coaches and the media still have votes but I don't know how they are weighted.

I'm getting angry just thinking about an All Star game this season

This event could be dead in the water

"I have zero energy and zero excitement about an All-Star Game this year," James said after the Los Angeles Lakers' 114-93 win over the Denver Nuggets on Thursday. "I don't even understand why we're having an All-Star Game."

They've been lucky nothing serious has happened. Or if it has, the NBA has expertly covered it up.

I'm waiting for something incoming. Durant played active minutes last night despite having been in contact with someone who tested inconclusive prior to the game, so wait a few days and we'll probably have th eentire Nets and Raptors teams being struck with Mavericks fever.

Lonzo has a good chance playing in this event if all the elite back out.

If enough people back out, Terrence Ferguson will get run. What's your point?

I need to see Elfrid Payton throwing full court lobs to Ed Davis, that would be great.

Julius Randle. We need him in ASG

Maybe our guys don't want to play in the all star game. They would probably be much better off with some rest so not voting might be the go.

I voted, but largely on the expectation that there won't be a game going ahead and the teams will end up being purely honorary. Which is fine.

To me, the All-Star game is dead and has been for years

It's just some weird popularity contest voted by the fans, and the players rarely take it seriously themselves because of injury and whatnot

It needs to be completely re-thought IMO

Kawhi's a top 5 MVP candidate so far this year.

    Clippers are 21-9, Kawhi's putting up 27/6/5 on 51/39/88 splits. 62%TS.

4th in the league in PER
3rd in the league in Win Shares per 48 minutes
8th in the league in total win shares
8th in the league in Box Plus Minus
10th in the league in Value Over Replacement Player
6th in the league in ScoreVal
14th in the league in On/Off
1st in the league in ORtg On-Court
12th in the league in RPM
2nd in the league in RAPTOR

    He's been really really good.
