Since this is pretty much it for the starters as SVG empties the bench, here's the starter's stats for tonight

Player Names PTS REB AST STL BLK fg% 3pt% FT% to pf mins
    Brandon Ingram 23 4 6 0 2 7/17 (41.1%) 2/5 (40%) 7/7 (100%) 0 2 33
    Zion Williamson 28 7 6 1 0 12/14 (85.7%) 1/1 (100%) 3/4 (75%) 0 2 32
    Steven Adams 11 13 4 1 0 4/10 (40%) 0/0 3/4 (75%) 0 2 29
    Eric Bledsoe 11 3 3 0 0 4/7 (57.1%) 3/6 (50%) 0/0 1 0 29
    Lonzo Ball 18 6 1 1 0 7/13 (53.8%) 4/7 (57.1%) 0/0 2 4 24

Zion led the team in +/-, at +37. Second place was +25 from Lonzo, followed by +21 from both Ingram and Adams.
    Basketball.

If we are trading him, tonight Lonzo helped us.

Hernangomez is THE bench big. No doubt now.

    All time

Pretty obvious the offense should start with Zion. There is no matchup for him.

But then again, they said they'd play inside out but seem to abandon that idea pretty easily.

Finally, the suns were a little cold but we had a lot better hustle in this game.

So is this when we trade Lonzo and JJ for expiring contracts and 1st round picks, draft Mobley, and trade the rest of our firsts for Beal? And roll with this future starting 5

    Kira
    Beal
    Ingram
    Zion
    Mobley

Hernangomez is 26, is he the bench big we want?
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

Well Melli is 30 so it’s a move in the right direction.

And is 27 before the end of the season iirc

That's not ancient, of course, but I think people seem to think he's this largely unproven commodity where we might as well try him out because nobody really knows his ability. And that's just not true. He's in his prime right now, around 25-30 is usually peak years for a big, and he's just very whatever.

The more pressing question might be: is JAX the bench big we develop?

Van Gundy in post game presser...."Zion shoots only half of the free throws he's entitled to, if that..." anyone who watches knows he is is absolutely right, but does the league give him the freedom to express that? Lord knows I hope so!
"we might make dollars, but we don't necessarily make sense"

“Just what ever” is a breath of fresh air in our dumpster fire among bench bigs. I’ll take it for now.

I’m willing to bet dollars to donuts that if Hayes pans out it won’t be until the final year of his contract. I hope that I am wrong, but that guy needs more work than we care to admit.

About 6.5% better than league average. Not bad.

Kinda wild how, despite everything, we're only 3 games back from the 8 seed right now.

The entire league is like, 10-11 right now
