So, tonight we take on the Kings. Adams may or may not be there: we shall see.
We played the Kings about 2 weeks ago and we won, and they're only 8-11: one game better than us in the W column. This game should be one that we go into really trying to get a win. This is not some scheduled loss, as games occasionally are.
The Kings have won 3 of their last 4, but overall have not been great this season. They are not top ten in any particular counting stat, and while their generally good efficiency (8th in both FG% and 3PT%) has carried them to a top 10 offense (9th) they are the worst defensive team in basketball. Not just that, their Defensive Rating of 119.1 would, if continued for the entire season, be the worst defensive rating of all time, for any team, by over a full point. It's legitimately the worst defense in NBA history right now, no hyperbole.
Therefore it makes sense that we should go in this with nothing less than a full intent to win. Last time we played them, Zion had 31 on 13/15 shooting, and frankly there's no reason why that shouldn't be on the cards tonight, or at least something resembling it. Their defense, to reiterate, has more holes in it than a fishing net: we should be knifing to the rim with regularity and there's nobody better on this team at that than Zion in terms of just delivering efficient rim-pressure at volume.
I want a win from this, anything less will be a disappointment.
