I like Van Gundy but I hope he is ready to answer some tough questions from tonight....

SVG is a **************. He had Zion on the wing when he had clear advantage on Holiday the whole game. This dude is not the coach to take us where we need to be. Zion is not being used properly, SVG thinks he's old school but i beg to differ.

Stan needs to get on the guys tonight. You can lose a game late, but you can’t lose showing a lack of urgency. That will kill you every time. Protect the ball. Call a timeout to advance it. It’s the easy bits that let us down tonight.

This hurt man. They played really well, and then they sucked in the last two minutes of the 4th, where it all went downhill.

I understand trying to not ride Zion but the jj and Bledsoe playtime isn’t good for us rn ESP Bledsoe

Turnovers sure but I would blame this loss on the big difference in 3 point shooting combined with poor offensive possessions in the final 2 minutes of regulation

This one is on SVG. Only Lonzo and Redick in the backcourt to recieve the ball assuming Indiana would just foul.

I dont want either of them trying to handle the ball in that situation. REdick falls down for some reason and Lonzos floppy hands gets the ball taken away.

I'd much rather Ingram and Bledsoe and take my chances.

Was literally screaming for him to get a touch there. Nope. Ingram ISO ball.

Ingram, as much as he had some good stuff going on, flipping the full hero ball switch.
No off-ball movement at times early in OT.

Just so much stuff gone wrong in that five minutes. Dreadful play.
SVG forgets who Zion is and forces him to play 2nd fiddle all the time. I can see Zion's lack of aggressiveness due to this.

Yep. It was bad all around. Stan gets no pass for that one.

Why wouldn’t jj allow them to foul knowing he shoots free throws out zo in horrible position McConnell dogged Bledsoe 5 possessions straight geez

Too many bad shots from BI once we got in front...

Also should of challenged that Oladipo trip

  17. #267
Oh JJ. Please come back to us

  18. #268
I believe Stan is just doing the popavich and letting the guys try to handle their adversity unfortunately if it ain’t Brandon we need to make a move should’ve kept George hill

Jj made 1 more shot than if we just wheeled a mannequin out there. Why is he getting any time whatsoever?

  20. #270
Should of never went to OT. According to the radio broadcast BI waived off a timeout that SVG wanted to call right before they hit those two 3s. Not having Zion in OT was dumb. We had the advantage down low, but said screw that we going to take BI jump shots when he was at 37+ minutes & probably pretty tired

Zion team high +18: second best in the starting 5 was Adams at +3. Worst was Ingram -6.

Redick played too much and he's become a severe liability

This is not about Ingram playing hero ball..

SVG has to allow Ingram to get some rest on the court in late game situations instead of having him do all the heavy lifting. Zion could be a real difference maker if they ran something for him every other play down the stretch. This would keep Ingram from being gassed, and keep opposing defenses off balance.

Any attempt to make this about Ingram is ridiculous.. with that being said some of you are just being consistent I suppose. =)

This sums it up.. If he doesn't turn it around it's going to hurt us this season.
