    I'm not a prescriptivist when it comes to language. The idea of preserving a language seems kind of flawed to me, inherently; the French Academy has the wrong idea imo.

    In my experience, "pissed" gets used differently in America, Britain, and Australia (for the sake of argument, we'll pretend Australia actually exists for a bit).

    Well, in phantom Ostraya, the verb "pissed" can either mean to be really drunk or to take a leak
