And there's a huge distinction between ought and is. He's going to be severely flawed in a bunch of ways but also intensely fun if he gets real minutes. There are going to be people who declare him a bust outright cause he's gonna shoot awfully from the floor for a 'big' and he'll probably have some really ugly team defense clips, but those people are kinda missing the point on him.
It's just so irritating that every time someone says something about potentially trading Lonzo recently, someone brings up that SVG has said nice things about him or that Ingram is his friend, as if anyone who suggested trading him is going to turn around like ''oh okay then, as long as Ingram likes playing Xbox with him I guess he's owed a contract'' or something. ''Well you know, SVG said some nice things about him in an interview so we're honour-bound to sign him for life'', like come on.
SVG has been pretty clear that Griff and Langdon run the personnel. He's just here to coach.

This is true, he has said this on at least 3 different occasions now I think. In fact, on the night Kira got drafted he was asked about his input on drafting/free agency and he basically said that while Griff has asked his opinions on a few things and he's given them, that's the extent of his involvement and that he is leaving all of those actual decisions up to Griff.
