    Pelicans 8th March - New Orleans Pelicans @ Minnesota Timberwolves - 27-36

This game is scheduled to begin at 2:30PM, CST.

After picking up a much needed home win against the Heat, the Pelicans are once again out on the road, this time to take on the Minnesota Timberwolves for the second time this week. Here's the injury report.

Redick still out, as usual. The only change here really is that Nickeil Alexander-Walker has joined Redick, sidelined by a hairline fracture in his wrist. Gentry punching the air knowing that now he has a good reason not to play him over Frank and Moore.

Back to the usual stuff though, it's the Wolves again. It's been such a short time since we last faced them that I won't bother running down all their statistics; the sting of the last defeat's still there. As far as I'm concerned, this is a must win game. After this we face Sacramento, who have been hot lately; we need to take this one and then beat SAC in order to compensate for the difficult games coming up (Clippers, for example).

Weirdly enough, we're actually a slightly better team on the road than at home; 14-17 on the road, compared to 13-19 at home. That's a bit strange, but hey, we're on the road tonight so I'll take it. This actually matches up well; the Wolves are also a better team on the road than at home, so getting them at home is kinda where they've been weakest. They're 11-20 on the road, but only 8-23 on their home court. Whether this will mean anything or not is entirely up to you to decide; probably not, is my take. But still, it's there.

I want to see effort tonight. If the team does want to make the playoffs, it has to start showing with some consistency. The Wolves have fewer than 20 wins. Can't lose to them twice in a week. Winning tonight would make is 2-1 on the season against them; that's the least we can do.

Darius Miller is the third guy for those that don’t want to click the link. I don’t know why they even list him anymore.

Yeah I don't even mention him anymore because he's just missing the whole year pretty much.

Is this the return of the Pels most important player? Kenny Hustle

Our coach has the oddest rotations in the history of basketball.

Kenny may see the court down 2 with 30 seconds left.

And they'll run a play for him to tie the game.

We are going to get pick and rolled to death. If we do not defend it this time.....well....then we know it is the coaching 100% failing us.

Did AD really say something about “double penetration” during the pregame?

Moore and Jackson are the two biggest question marks so far. Absolutely pathetic level of production from them in the first quarter.

The last rotation was horrible. Moore should not even be on the floor. Frank is not a 1.

Our bench... Is sooo bad. Well, at least drafting to strengthen our bench would be a solid move.

Why does gentry do this. This team is not a good small ball team. We lose leads and easy rebounds everytime. Can we please relieve gentry of his duties

Not really feeling Favors on this team going forward. We need a 5 that can space the floor somewhat and not be undersized.

Only the Pels can make Jake Layman look like an all star.

Yeah... I think teams have figured the best match up to defend Zion since Favors is a non-factor offensively.

Alvin must not be wearing his glasses today.
