Sooner or later you'll have to start winning games to make it to playoffs. During a 4 game spam 1-4 ain't cutting it. 2-4 isn't good enough this late in the game. 3-1 or 4-0 starts to get you back into it conversation.

Yes, sooner or later you do have to start winning games. But when you're talking about a close race to the 8th seed, those games that you need to win aren't against sure-fire comfy playoff teams. If your team needs to win games against the Clippers to scrape in, then you're not in the playoff race.

We don't need to beat Utah, we don't need to beat the Clippers, we don't need to beat Philadelphia. What we need to do is clean up the 15 sub .500 teams that we have in our last 16 games. Those are the games you need to win. If we go 13-2 in those 15 games or something around that mark, then you expect to make the playoffs even if you lose against the Clippers, Utah, Sixers, etc.
