It’s be hilarious if they just snuck Zion out there. I’m also curious if he’ll be in street clothes or if he suits up.

It would be an awesome eff you to the media if Zion played tonight. If he's healthy why not give him some run to get his feet wet?

I really don't think Zion is playing tonight. There's no way I can see that

    1) they're debuting Zion on the road
    2) they're debuting him early
    3) they're dodging the rescheduled television date, that was rescheduled specifically in line for their own announced return date

    Basketball.

Bets that at some point Gentry tries to counter a lineup that features like, Clarke, JJJ, and Valanciunas with a 4 guard lineup?

He has no other choice. He only has one true big man who is 'foul-prone' for this game (unless you think Melli is otherwise from what he is).

Hayes is foul prone, sure, and Melli isn't really a C, but we have Hayes, Melli, and Ingram has played a bunch of 4 this year. I understand that's not optimal (Ingram shouldn't really be playing the 4, in a perfect world), but there should always be, foul-trouble permitting, two of those guys on the court at any given moment. Essentially, Melli should be serving as rotation to spell for either Hayes or Ingram and playing alongside the other while the out-guy gets rest.

There should be no reason to run out a lineup like Jrue/Lonzo/Redick/Hart/Melli.

That does not mean Gentry won't do it. He very possibly will.

Jrue nailing a quick 3. He's moving well

Bad bit of decision making from Ingram. He drove well, looked good, drew a ton of help. Jrue was wide open on the perimeter, ahead of Ingram when he came off the curl so he should have seen him, and instead Ingram either tried for a short pass to Hayes or the corner skip behind him (not sure which, could have been either) and instead just had the turnover.

Would have been nicer to either see him bring it back out, or to pass out to Jrue

That was an amazing bit of a defense by Jrue to blow up that PnR, defending both men. Shame nobody put a body to stop the putback

Jrue denying 6'11 Jaren Jackson in the post. Just insane stuff.

And then hits another 3 on the other end jeez

  12. #37
Really good D by Hayes, staying grounded against the Morant up and under and forcing the miss.

  13. #38
I'm sure they are coached to go 1 on 4. They do it once every game.

  14. #39
That was just a flop from Ingram come on man, don't bail out like that

  15. #40
Jrue posts up Morant and then throws down a 2 handed dunk on Valanciunas.

    He's okay, folks

  16. #41
Jeez Redick. The stupid transition turnovers need to stop. You don't need to go 1000 mph every time.

Good read from Ingram to save that ball from being stolen

  18. #43
LOVE that possession! Great reads all around! Jrue to Hayes to Ingram to Hayes to the rim for an and-one, all at the rim, just moving it around the defender.

    Great stuff from everyone there.

And then he puts another guard in as PF smh..

Yeah, I'd have preferred a Melli sub there. I get that we're short on bigs tonight, I really do, but they're currently fielding a Clarke/Jackson duo and Hart at the 4 just isn't big enough
