Hate coaches that insist on small ball when it's clear it isn't working.

Pels need to adjust to the physicality of what the officials are allowing tonight. But otherwise, keep moving the ball, keep sharing, they are getting open shots every time.

Just gonna note, has anyone else noticed how much better the Knicks look now? I'm not saying Miller is some genius coach, and of course the personnel is still subpar, but they're actually running offense and it doesn't look stupid 100% of the time.

Favors throwing it away at every opportunity

He looked hurt coming off the court a moment ago. Jax has replaced him on court.

Big sell from that small bump for Redick, really getting the refs to call everything

Nice dunk on the drive from Ingram!

Ingram nails the 3 off the NAW pass, he's hot folks

Great touch finish over Taj from Jax

End of the half, we're up 67-61

    Ingram: 17/2/5 with a steal, he's 7/9 for 78% shooting
    Lonzo: 11/2/4 with a steal and block, he's 4/9 for 44.4% (3/4 from 3)
    Favors: 2/6 with 2 steals and a block, 50%FG
    Hart: 3/3/3 on 1/4 shooting
    Redick: 4/2/2 on 1/4 shooting

    Jax: 9pts, 4rbds, 2blks, 4/4 from the field
    NAW: 9pts, 1rbd, 4asts, 3/6 from the field, 3/5 from 3

What really needs to change is the defensive integrity, both in terms of execution but also scheme, in the second half. We gave up 61 points in the first half to a bottom 5 offense that's missing its 2 leading scorers. That's not good enough, tbh. They had 24 points in the paint in the first quarter alone.

looked liked Favors pulled a hammy or something. See if he returns.

Fortunately, we have made improvements since the streak.

TO'ing the ball let the back in it. Should've played half court Offense and let the earn their shots. We kept trying to push it for some reason.

We might see Okafor this half! Scary smit....
Actual proof Greivis Vasquez can throw Anthony Davis an Alley-OOP on an (kinda) fastbreak!

    Pelicans Rookies just bullying Knox.

I kinda feel bad for Knox. He was a developmental player who needed development and got drafted by one of the worst developmental teams in the NBA who have completely failed to develop him.

He was never going to be an all-star or anything but there's no reason for him to be this bad. He could be better than this.

Very astute (and subtle) commentary by AD regarding Ball's passing. Essentially, he said that it's one thing to make a pass, but even more important to provide for the recipient the ability (and spacing) to do something with it. Some of Ball's passes would be better off not thrown. A point guard can't set a teammate up for failure. It simply can't happen.

Lonzo has historically been a very talented and instinctive passer with relatively low creation abilities. Part of that comes from his reluctance to attack defenses and scramble them (this has obviously been much better recently!) and part of it comes from his annoying tendency to pass out rather than forward, almost resetting the offensive possession but with him in the paint for some reason.

It's why assists alone aren't the best measure of playmaking. I wonder how Lonzo ranks in Ben Taylor's Passer Rating?

That's ridiculous, Hayes didn't foul there

Great boxout and one handed board from Jax

The amount of contact they letting the Knicks get away with this game is criminal

Jax into double digit scoring again. He has 13pts and 7rbds in 17 minutes. This is coming off a game where he had 14pts and 12rbds in 23 minutes.

    He's doin the job.

Ingram misses the 3 but gets the call. He's heading to the line; Ingram's shooting exceptionally from the FT line at this point.

    Mike Miller challenges the call.
