Some things translate. Zion is going to get to the rim. Who is going to stay in front of him without fouling him? If he was a poor ball handler, I'd accept Zion would get stripped. But he keeps a low dribble, and his first step is James Harden like.

Don't need to have games count to see that.

The ball moves better with NAW on the floor. He deserves all of Lonzo's minutes.

It’s hard being so excited for this season. Being so excited every night for the game... to watch this.

    It’s not that we’re losing.... it’s how we’re losing.

The front office needs to start thinking about the mentality of the team. This is going to get out of hand.

You don't think that teams will pack the paint when a team who shoots 3-17 from 3?
It doesn’t matter what you think the team will shoot for 3s and counting on us missisng has no basis. We have one of the best 3pt% as a team at 38%. That is very very good and Zion should only help this increase duo to the attention he draws

Yeah zion will blow by defenders . What I think they will do is sit back and dare him to shoot

    No. It's that we're losing.

We've been in games all the way and then lost close. And we've been blown out. What other way to lose is there?

Well, congrats to Dallas I guess, for just ramming our heads into the toilet and flushing it for 48 minutes straight.

With these performances soon nobody is even going to show up. It's going to be an empty SKC.

    Reggie stfu.

The best thing for Zion is to play. If he sits all year its just that much harder to stay in shape. You are begging for problems.

Benchmarks are over. That only matters to the handful of jerks that want to take the Pelicans to Seattle.

And he'll drive and finish on them anyway, like he did about 6 times to reigning 2x DPOY Rudy Gobert in pre-season.

In the Bulls pre-season game, they packed the paint with 4 guys and they all just sat back in the lane and Zion drove, went up, and laid it in anyway like there was nothing in the way.

He's a generational talent. They do what they want. Exhibit A: Luka ripping us a new one tonight.

Not to mention we're not going to just clear out and tell Zion to score. There will be possessions where they run action for Zion to get him going downhill.

this team is just not good

when will the Pelicans be good again?

this is no fun... it's like seeing the Pelicans season is over before the Saints regular season even ends
"The pelican is fearsome. Take a raven, for example: it's omnivorous. It eats bugs, and seeds, and fruit, and carrion. Compared to the well-rounded citizen that is the raven, the pelican is the serial killer of birds." - Barry Petchesky, Deadspin

I got a feeling this loss will go a little further than the usual L. Griff and Tregen looked worried in the tunnel.

I just hope it is a wake up call to ownership that Gentry is a lame duck.

    Players to keep:

    Zion
    Ingram
    Hayes
    NAW
    Hart
    Williams

Players to move for assets when given reasonable offers:

    Everyone else

  22. #172
I just dont get why you never see any actions to try and score near the basket.

It's just a difficult solo drive to the rim or somebody bombs a three.

    It's perplexing.

  23. #173
Ehhhhh... It's a bad loss, but an extreme over reaction. The season was already over, folks. We need to play NAW, because it looks like we are gonna draft a SG in June.

I'd put money that we're calling him up in January. If not sooner.
