So they are missing Gobert and NAD we walk in with the clear advantage as if we should just coast to a win? Like we aren’t missing anything?

Gentry has got to get his *** up and tell them to hold for 1 shot there.

    Just awful shot clock management.

    I mean yeah, I guess.

My only memory of that entire quarter will be Jax doing a behind the back dribble move, driving, and getting FTs. That was cool.

Maybe the taunting will wake us up.

Technically we are waking up....I just want to be Captain Cliche.
    Good positive energy.

Yeah, we're mostly woken up. The problem now is that even if we're playing better (which we are, much better, though still not perfect) they're hot. They've got their eye in, warmed up, basket seems huge for them now. It's too late; they're on fire.

Only solution now is to try and play extreme defense, but I don't know if we can do that consistently.

Down 13 they still don't want to give Moore that foul.

Edit: I don't know the numbers but you've been right about Ingram's finishing based on my eye test. He doesn't usually miss as often as he is now right at the basket. It's bothering me.

Y’all can’t say this isn’t coaching. These guys are playing iso for 2 quarters now. Every shot they have taken is stupid. They have no idea what to do. All the jazz are doing is letting them shoot dumb shots. It’s not hard to defend them at all. Sad that this is the state of this game.

He's shooting 61% at the rim, his lowest since his rookie year (8% lower than last year, for example) and shots at the rim have make up only 26% of his shot profile, a career low down 9% from last year.

That's why I've said so much of his scoring is slightly unsustainable. He's shooting more 3s, but that hasn't come from cutting down on the awkward midrangers, it's come at the expense of efficient looks at the rim. When his midrange heat wears off (and it has been, he's currently shooting 50% from the midrange, down from 68% before his injury, which is still very good but obviously a decline) his problems getting to the rim and finishing there will become slightly more unpleasant.

MJ has nights where he didn’t look good at finishing.. slow start and if it continues the entire game this is literally his first bad game. I’ll take that cause do to having no off season at all I expected a slower start from him
