Love Zion on defense so far tonight. After going for that offense rebound he came straight back up court and picked up the switch for Ingram without dropping a beat. The play before, he shaded the post to block the passing lane without losing his man.
He's going to be inconsistent on D early, that's how it always is for rookies getting used to the league, but those are some nice possessions.
Zion was about to put Gobert on a poster, but Conley bailed him out with the foul
Zion guarding Gobert is an interesting choice. Gives up 7 or 8 inches in height.
Frank finishing that is VERY impressive. He was getting pinballed on that layup
Love Melli denying Gobert position at pretty much every turn. Great help as well on the drive, completely eliminated the lob threat

Just saw this stat. This is bonkers: Zion shot 74.7% at the rim as a freshman in college not counting dunks. And he took over 230 layups like that.
