It's not going to be lost.

Moore is 30 years old. He's not likely to improve or decline significantly within the next 6 months. He has played 8 NBA seasons and has a career 39% three point percentage. If you don't believe he's going to be a consistent three point shooter at this point, you're not going to believe it. And if you're expecting him to be more, than you haven't watched him play. That's the reality for opposing GMs. His value isn't going to increase because he ISN'T more than what he's shown, and it's not going to decline because an 8 year vet who's only 30 and has a career 39% 3pt percentage, on an expiring deal, no less, has already shown you what they're capable of and that's not going to change.

If a GM comes to you in, say, December, 2 months into the season and says ''no way we want E'twaun, he hasn't been playing! What if he fell off a cliff?!'' Then you hang up the phone on that GM because they are blatantly trying to swindle you.
    Basketball.

Moore falls right at the top quarter of career 3pt percentage shooting leaders ALL TIME. Of the 250 past and present on the list, he is number 64. That's better then Kyrie Irving, Khris Middletom, Bradley Beal, and Kwahi Leonard to name a few.

His volume of shots is small compared to some of those players though. Tough to compare.

Why not? He is a well known commodity. Playing at this point wont change anything besides risk injury or poor play.

It's not that they won't want him, it's that they won't want to give up as much. I don't know what our objective on a potential Moore trade will be. If we're using his salary as filler and the other team just wants to use him to clear cap room, it won't matter. If we're trading him to someone who wants a veteran 3 pt shooter for the stretch run/playoffs, it definitely could matter--they're going to want someone in game shape that hasn't been just sitting around, and if that's what they're getting the offers will probably be less attractive. I think this whole thing is ultimately academic, because I have a hard time imagining Moore not being in the rotation.
