    Lonzo
    Frank
    Jrue
    Moore
    Hart
    NAW
    Ingram
    Kenrich
    Zion
    Wood
    Okafor
    Hayes

We moved on from Diallo ahead of free agency, even though keeping his QO would have been really cheap.
We have room for 2 guys, IMO, and we have been very intentional in every move we’ve made to clear as much cap as possible.

This is going to be interesting.

Have we heard that we are keeping the Qualifying offer on Williams and Frank?

I know FranK is back for sure.

Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams

Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston

Earlier today it was said we picked up Frank's because they like his development and have no interest in moving on from him.

I haven't heard about Williams but I can't imagine we would give him up either. Looks like Diallo was the guy out.

    Diallo’s QO was cheap.
With so much cap space, there was no reason to move on so early unless we needed his money. Either that or we just did him and his agent a favor.

It could be the latter, but things just aren’t really adding up IMO. What else could you have gotten from Atlanta if you didn’t insist on getting rid of Solo? We’d have enough cap space to build around the edges even if we’d kept Solo.

When asked about the possibility of playing in New Orleans again next year, here's what Payton said:

"There's definitely a little interest on both sides, I've just still got to weigh my options. But, like I always say, man, I'm from Gretna, I'm from this city, so the Pels are always going to be a team I root for, so I'll always root for them."

Bring a home boy back. If we can get Elfrid and Lonzo each for 50% of the year, we would have one solid true PG.

It's not the cap space, it's the roster spot. We just don't have a slot for him atm. Maybe if we miss out on some other FA's or something but there was no reason to guarantee him a roster spot already

What is the read on Frank so far? Do people see him as primarily as a point guard at this point or is he an undersized shooting guard? I'd love him to be viable as an athletic, scoring lead guard, but I'm just not sure I've seen the playmaking skills yet...

if I was sold on Portis as a person, I would likely welcome him as a basketball player....
"we might make dollars, but we don't necessarily make sense"

"always be sincere....whether you mean it or not"

Could this mean Leonard is out?

Why wouldn't you be? If it's about that fight, every report I've heard was Mirotic started the crap, but couldn't finish it.

I didn't mean to infer that I know anything about Bobby Portis as a person.... my point was supposed to be that if he indeed meets the character traits they are looking for, I think he would fit in very, very nicely here....

Well that’s a no on Horford. Sounds like Dedmon may be joining the Kings since the interest is strongly mutual I read. Well that will only leave Brook Lopez out of my top 3 if that’s the case. My targets are dwindling by the day lol. I haven’t seen us mentioned at all with Brook and it sounds like the Bucks want him back. Next up is Bobby Portis, but he’s restricted and visiting with the Jazz as soon as free agency starts. Next would be Boogie? If I can get him on a decent deal, I would take him back I guess. Jonas V might be an option, but not the floor spacer I would like. Since we need a floor spacer, so we may have to sign a forward like JyMychal Green and have Okafor start.

One thing that I've said before on this board, and that MM was actually tweeting about recently, is that the assumption that teams must be built like the Warriors to win is a false one. The league moves in cycles. Bigs fall out of fashion temporarily, then roar back in. It's a boom and bust style pattern. It goes like this:

    1) Bigs dominate the league.
    2) Small ball lineups start to form, using their speed and versatility to counter bigs
    3) Small ball teams dominate the league, and bigs fall out of fashion
    4) The league is filled with small teams, using smaller lineups
    5) Someone figures out that opponents have no big, leaving their own big to be essentially unguardable
    6) Teams using specialised bigs start to form, exploiting the small-ball nature of opponents
    7) Teams have bigs again, although the bigs are more nuanced and skilled than before, and run offense through them, leaving smaller lineups at a disadvantage
    8) Bigs dominate the league.

Then that cycle runs again. The example MM used, which I think was quite apt, was how the Bulls were closing in the late 90s using Kukoc as their ''big'' sometimes, despite him being only 6'9''. Some people speculated that old school bigs like Ewing were on their way out. Fast forward to 2000-2005, Shaq and Tim Duncan are winning almost every ring. Now we've had a resurgence in small ball over the last 7 or 8 years, so a lot of people think that's what we're going to have, but look at the best players in the league. Giannis, AD, Embiid, Porzingis, KAT. Even Zion to an extent. The young talent that's really starting to erupt, age 26 and under, seems to be very largely populated by a new form of specialised big. If you build your team over the next three years trying your best to imitate Golden State, all you'll have is a team that's completely out of place in 2023. Gotta be forward thinking.

If Griff signs someone, I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt unless it's just a blatantly god-awful deal. If it's someone I like on a little too much money, I'll bite my tongue and see where it goes. If it's too many years on Horford, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt although I don't like it. It's clear from how he's spoken that he has a vision. Let's see what it is.
    Basketball.

So we have info on Horford and Dedmon, but where are those Brook Lopez tweets?

    When does free agency start
