HELL, none of the Laker's assets makes sense with Zion on the floor.
The best talent of the LA package, or the best talent of all proposed packages?
    Basketball.

    Precisely

The Celtics deal makes too much sense, Tatum who is an all star talent, brown who could possibly be one, pick 14, next years Memphis pick

But apparently that is not being offered or we likely would already have a deal done.

Replace Brown with Smart and I think the package is more realistic.

If anything is clear from watching the Saints and Pelicans under Benson, it's that there is absolutely no appetite for that sort of rebuild.

    LA Package of course.

We are out of the realm of proposed packages... We are all about those leaked ones. lol

The Lakers deal is the only one that's been leaked lol

So I agree, Ingram is the best prospect out of the single leaked package from the Lakers.

A team full of draft picks and rookie contracts? No mentors in the locker room? Contracts coming due at the same time. Where does the leadership come from? How does Gentry and staff coach a team full of rookies and 1-3 year players?

Porzingis threatened to sign his QO so Dallas was not seen as any kind of front runner at the time of the trade. We should expect much more than the KL/PG comps because 1) Davis is better (given Kawhi's mysterious injury) and b) PG resigning, KL winning a championship and/or resigning.

Could we possibly be waiting to see if any of the rookies play well enough to be flipped? Just an interesting thought that occurred to me

Please Griffin don’t give in to a lakers trade without getting Kuz!!

  13. #2238
I truly believe that Griffin has a plan and won't settle for less than what his plan calls for. I also think he has the balls to roll the dice and take a chance on holding onto AD as long as it takes to get the return that he wants for him. I am truly interested to see how this plays out.

Get The trade Done with LA (They have to add next year's Number One and Take Solo)

Keep Brandon Ingram at least until mid year trade deadline.
Trade Lonzo Ball to Chicago for their Number 7.
4th Pick: Darius Garland (possibly Coby White)
    7th Pick: Jaxson Hayes

Resign Julius Randall (if possible), Christian Wood, Cheick Diallo, Stanley Johnson
Let Elfrid Payton, Darius Miller, Ian Clark, Trevon Bluiett Walk
Trade: E'twaun Moore for best offer.
Target Veteran Free Agents: Brook Lopez, Rajon Rondo

    Possible Roster:

    Forward: Julius Randall, Jahlil Okafor
    Forward: Zion Williamson, Brandon Ingram
    Center: Brook Lopez, Jaxson Hayes
    Guard: Jrue Holiday, Frank Jackson
    Guard: Rajon Randall, Darius Garland

Others: Christian Wood, Cheick Diallo, Stanley Johnson, Kenrich Williams, Dairis Bertans (probably no market for him).

Lopez and Rondo (along with Holiday) could make excellent mentors for the young Pelican Talent (specifically Hayes and Garland).

If kuz isn’t in the trade there’s gotta be a 3rd team that adds value.

Trade Lonzo Ball to Chicago for their Number 6.

Nah. I don't agree with it but I welcome the new members. We have been arguing so much over stale topics but they are fresh. This is the Zion Era. Things really will be so much friendlier once this trade happens and the ashes settle.

    Welcome new members!

Also.......breaks glass bottle on the gound

I definitely welcome the new members! No doubt about it

In a perfect world, we'd get 10 new members a day.

Just wish it was in different circumstances, where every new poster didn't have to start with a Lakers trade.

  24. #2249
Also, Chicago doesn't have the #6 pick.

  25. #2250
I don't think the Celtics look at AD as a "one-year rental" as much as bait to help get Kyrie to sign. Not sure if that is true or not. Not saying that is the best strategy. I would say giving up assets to secure Kyrie long(er) term may be worth the "rental."

    Thoughts???
