    Game starts.

Brad Stevens has Kyrie guarding Mirotic.

Come ON! He can't guard other GUARDS for god's sake, stop putting him on bigs! It's no mystery why Mirotic got 5 points in the first two minutes guarded by Kyrie
    Basketball.

Cannot stand seeing Giannis spot up for 3 with 22 seconds left on the clock. Disgusting possessions, whether he hits or not.

  3. #303
To be fair, I think he was trying to hide Kyrie on defense. Bledsoe, Giannis, and Middleton would eat him up, Lopez is just too big. Mirotic is kind of a last resort. Unfortunately for him, Niko is a sniper and can just shoot over him. Lol

On one hand, what you're saying makes complete sense.

On the other hand, he had Kyrie guarding Giannis for both of the last 2 games, so it's clearly not something he considers beyond the pale. Part of the problem is that Kyrie just can't defend anyone, anywhere, but at least if you had him guard Bledsoe, he's not disadvantaged by size. When you have him guarding Mirotic or Giannis, you're just asking him to be bad.

Kyrie Irving 2 of 8 to start the game.

He had 8 of 22 in game 3, 7 of 22 in game 4, we going to go for 6 of 22 for game 5?

  6. #306
Bucks should be disappointed in that first quarter tbh. How you going to have the Celtics shoot 23% from the floor, 20% from 3, and 71% from the FT line and only be down 3?

  7. #307
    Kyrie is 2 of 12.

Waiting for the 30 shots he promised last post-game conference. Probably gonna hit 5 of them.

    It's probably desperation.

Can't imagine it being anything else. Certainly isn't sense.

I think we can comprehensively put to bed the myth that Brad Stevens is some superstar coach though. He's good, but he's not incredible. Anyone who still believed that can stop believing it now.

Giannis having his worst game of the series so far, and the Bucks still thrashing the Celtics.

Almost the entire Celtics team has been poor tonight.

    Tatum - 15 minutes - 11pts 5rbds on 2 of 5 shooting
    Baynes - 10 minutes - 0pts 6rbds on 0-1 shooting
    Horford - 25 minutes - 9pts 5rbds 5asts on 4-12 shooting
    Kyrie - 27 minutes - 13 pts 1rbd 1ast on 5-18 shooting
    Brown - 23 minutes - 8pts 3rbds on 2-8 shooting

    Just terrible all around.

  12. #312
Smart took a real hard hit for that. Sucks to see, you never wanna see someone get punished for a hustle play.

    How Kyrie spent his halftime

This begs to ask the question, is a Celtics deal with Tatum and Brown/Smart and weak pics a good haul for AD?

    Jrue
    Tatum
    Brown
    Randle
    Wood

+Our pick (Hopefully Zion or Morant) but if not

is that better than this Celtics team that is about to be sent packing?

Chances are we aren’t trying to win the title next year compadre. I’d say it’s a decent haul.

  16. #316
Yep, also got to consider fit and chemistry. Celtics are playing with a team of young guys who did fantastically last year, who have been artificially pushed into a minority role alongside Kyrie Irving, who is toxic to them and has made it clear that he doesn't like playing with them, and doesn't like the fact that they achieved without him last year. It makes everyone on the team worse, Kyrie included.

    Kyrie is 6-21.

8 for 22 in game three.
7 for 22 in game four.
We getting 6 for 22 in game 5?

Did the refs just call a foul on Morris for kicking his leg out on a 3 pointer?

Celtics getting treated like Toronto treated the Sixers.

Curry being once against bailed about by his cast of all-star team mates.

His last 4 games before tonight + this game so far:

    Game 1 vs Houston: 18 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists on 5/12 (41.7%) and 3/10 from deep (30%)
    Game 2 vs Houston: 20 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists, 6/16 (37.5%) and 3/13 from deep (21.3%)
    Game 3 vs Houston: 17 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 7/23 (30.4%) and 2/9 from deep (22.25)
Game 4 vs Houston: 30 points, 4 rebounds, 8 assists, 12/25 (48%) and 4/14 from deep (28.6%) (his best game of the series so far)
    Tonight: 5 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 2/8 (25%) and 1/6 from deep (16.6%)

And yet: he's 2-2 in those games, and up 14 at the half in the last one.

This is what all-star team-mates do for you guys. You can stink it up for game after game after game and keep winning.

  22. #322
2 minutes left in the quarter and the Warriors have been outscored... 22-11? Wow. But hey, Curry hit another two so he's 4 of 14 and 1 for 8 from deep now.

  23. #323
Holy Toledo! Durant with a Kobe like injury?

  24. #324
    It sounds grim for Durant
